WASHINGTON -- A Maryland Dem is trying to change House rules so that the chamber observes a moment of silence for every shooting victim in America, not just mass shootings and terror attacks.
The House has recently observed moments of silence for victims of the October mass shooting in Las Vegas, the Halloween bike path terror attack in Manhattan, and the November mass shooting at a church in Sutherland Springs, Texas.
Freshman Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) introduced H.R. 666 this week "to observe a 60-second moment of silence in the House for those killed by gun violence in the United States on the next legislative day after any such individual dies."

Jamie Raskin is a metrosexual putz who represents a gerrymandered district. He has no business representing Western Maryland.
How about a round of APPLAUSE for every time someone uses a gun to protect themselves and others. This would include all those unreported occurrences where someone protects themselves and/or family with firearms.
The vast majority of “gun violence” victims are suicides, and a sizable proportion of the rest are criminals shot in the act of committing crimes.
A few dead people are more worthy than most other dead people, evidently.
No! I don’t support silence.
However, if they would hold their breath for one minute for each victim, they would get my undying support.
I kind of like the idea. Will loudmouth Congressmen be participating in the silence?
Well, they say that the Devil is in the details!
I am entirely in favor of more quiet in the Congress. And while we are at it, let us tack on more silence in memory of all those killed by bathtubs, abortionists, muslins and impaired drivers.
For this happened because Germany let politicians enforce gun control. The worst mass murderers in history are all politicians.
How about we require voter ID and term limits and practice a little politician control for a change?
How about a moment of silence for the abysmal job our House and Senate did last year?
That would be a good place to start.
Get your own house in order folks, and then branch out.
I dont mourn a bunch of dead thug criminals, which most of them are.
Ding ding, ding! We have a winner. The problem is not gun violence. It is violence committed by one particular group far more than any other. They are the source of most violent crime in the US.
I’d like a moment of silence for every lie made by a congressperson. They will then remain forever silent.
Then they need several rounds of applause for armed citizens who defended themselves or others. That would take much longer.
Now that is an excellent idea!
Sure, just as soon as we get a moment of silence for every abortion victim.
Yes, it would.
And how about a “round of applause” for ever criminal killed by a gun.
If only democrats could keep their mouths shut for a long period of time.
Yeah.......that’s kind of my thinking. But makes too much sense for the LEFT wing fools.
