She is trying to get appointed to her Dads Senate seat.
That is ALL this is about.

I believe in giving credit when due and over time I have noticed Meghan McCain improving conservative wise but her father is still pure evil in my book. He has been noticeably quiet too. Maybe not going back to DC. One can hope he finally retires; one way or the other.

On another note it looks like she’s hitting the wall on top of keeping the weight on.
I talked to a leftist minister a few years ago about how she felt defensive when in the company of a group of leftist foreign clergy. Sometimes it takes such exposure to find a grounding.
I don’t “feel” conservative. A conservative position is an intellectual process.
She opted to dive into the slime pool and is getting a mega-dose of it.....might be enough to wake her up and get over her Dadd's enmity with Trump....
The McCain name and conservative should never be used in the same sentence.

More likely, they'd appoint her mom. But I don't think that will happen either.
Sometimes if the widow is homey and regular folksy a governor will appoint her to her husband's seat, but Meghan and Cindy are both too Hollywoody to pull that off.
