WASHINGTON — Two Republican senators have made the first known criminal referral in congressional investigations of Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election. They’re targeting the author of a dossier of allegations about President Donald Trump’s ties to Russia.

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley of Iowa and South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham say they’ve referred former British spy Christopher Steele

Jeff Sessions has a long career in politics and in Federal legal circles, but Rosenstein may actually be a more capable attorney than Sessions. He took office AFTER Sessions had already recused himself from the "Trump/Russia" campaign matters, so clearly Sessions has a lot of confidence in him.

I think you're worrying too much about this, to be honest. LOL.

You’re missing my point. No one is officially investigating that angle though.

"Officially" is a loaded term, since the FBI doesn't make public announcements about these things. If anything, I would take Sessions' recusal as an indirect admission that there WAS an investigation underway.

Heck -- I've suspected that Rudy Giuliani was nowhere to be found among the senior cabinet appointments in the new administration, and has almost completely disappeared from public view since January, because of the likelihood that his own security consulting firm had been retained by the Trump transition to team to investigate the matter on their own.

True. But I doubt they could keep that secret this long. We’ll see.

...& exposing the FBI/DOJ who are behind this.

I'm sure the deep state people mostly running the DOJ/FBI are chomping at the bit to throw the book at themselves and toss themselves in prison.

Sounds like Muller is about to discover that he’s WAY out on a limb, and somebody just fired up a chainsaw...

“How can a criminal referral be worth damn against a Brit?”

It can’t. They just played right onto Rosenstein and Wray’s hands.

Tick tock - run out the clock is the game. The only game.

Clock running for statute of limitations on HRC crimes and the 2018 election.

Look at all the republican’s choosing not to run in 2018.

The democrats are locked in and loaded and unlike the republican’s they are not divided.

This is not looking good.

boo ........ hoo.

The other play that the DeepState attempted was to take out Nunez. I think this was a move that came out of either the DOJ or FBI. Nunez knows it, he Informed Ryan and once he was cleared of any ethics violation he has gone full balls to the wall to expose these vermin.

He’s got an extra large can of DeepState Raid and the cockroaches are running fer their lives. :)

yes, yes, yes .........

I think you're worrying too much about this, to be honest. LOL.

Could be. But I'm not the one turning most every thread describing the growing number of crimes that need to be investigated, into some supposed reason we should leave an AG who is recused from even investigating them in office.

How would the ensuing reveal(s) and corresponding judicial action(s) have turned out any better if Sessions hadn't recused himself?

I recognize that since everything appears to now be moving in the direction of actually draining the swamp, perhaps I'm now just attempting to rationalize a prior series of poor moves that possibly jeopardized Trump's agenda.

But, does it seem credible that it's just pure luck that the tide was turned, what with Mueller as SC and Sessions recused? Don't you find it hard to accept - at least at face value - just how much has changed and momentum reversed, even with Sessions (seemingly) out of action?

Miracle or forethought? What's intriguing is that so many pretty bright people are having difficulty reconciling so much conflicting information.

He is a very angry and good man. They should have never screwed him over months ago. That sicko Schiff got his rocks off on that BS.

I pray for Devin Nunes and his work.
