McDonald's looks pretty golden-headed into 2018.
The combination of McDonald's planned rollout of fresh, never-frozen beef, its recent relaunch of its Dollar Menu and woes at other restaurant chains could help the restaurant boost its same-store sales and grab more market share in the industry.
The burger giant's stock ended 2017 up more than 41 percent, the largest stock move in the restaurant industry during the year, and more than one analyst is calling for more gains in the new year.

I can eat a regular McD hamburger with one bite. My son used to get a kick out of watching me do that.
I still like to get the simple two cheeseburger meal deal at times.
Two of them with fries and a drink, suits me fine.
Their shakes are good, but I wouldn’t call them superlative.
They’re nothing to trash either though > IMO.
I like them.
Memories.
My kids were all born in the 60s-———McDonalds was a cheap treat.
50 cents for a small hamburger,small fries,and small drink
.
Should they put *beef* in quote marks?

McDonalds is your kind of place
I remember that parody from when I was a girl. Thanks for posting it, brought a smile to my face.
You’re a little ahead of me in the game, but I know what you mean. It was one of those simple pleasures that made them so happy. Great memories...
In 1999 I was in Egypt and went to the McD’s in Sharm el Sheikh. The place was spotless and they had flowers on the tables. They brought the food to you after taking the order.
They gave me a comment card and when I finished my meal, I took it to the manager.
All of the employees seemed worried about my comment card. They were trying to see what I had written by looking over his shoulder until the manager translated that I thought it was the cleanest, freshest McDonalds I had ever been in. They all smiled and thanked me for my visit. I wish this level of service was still an American experience.
1. You can find McDonald's at many rural major freeway intersections. For example, on the lonely stretch of Interstate 5 in California from Stockton south to the Wheeler Ridge merge with California 99, I know of multiple McDonald's you can easily access right off I-5. The company makes a lot of money from these highway locations.
2. Their Japanese division has done a huge turnaround and become immensely profitable again.
3. McDonald's is now a massive force in the restaurant industry in just about all of Europe.
Great story-—nice to hear.
.
Give me a Big Kahuna burger any day. That is a tasty burger!
They purvey a damned fine cup of coffee at that.
Their food sucks but the coffee is good.
Thank you catnipman!
obviously not organic and some rather unpronounceable things...haha, but I won’t be giving up on my sundae fixes. :)
I rarely go to McD. I like the food at other places much better.
And am willing to pay more for better quality elsewhere.
But I appreciate what a fine well run business they have been over the years.
Sawdust with some (odd) meat like by-products. Makes you wonder why vegans & vegetarians don’t flock to McD. It’s not like any real animal protein is being served.
It’s where the wife and I go when we go out.
Their coffee is really good ... those McGriddles sammiches are like crack too .... (not that I know what crack is like ...)
