ormer Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., is considering running for the recently vacated U.S. Senate seat held by Al Franken.

“I’ve had people contact me and urge me to run for that Senate seat,” Bachmann said recently on televangelist Jim Bakker's television show. “And the only reason I would run is for the ability to take these principles into the United States Senate and to be able to advocate for these principles.”

Go Michelle!

I mean, if we're not going to learn anything from Sharron Angle, Christine O'Donnell, Todd Akin, Richard Mourdock, and Roy Moore, why start now?

God's gonna come through for us one of these times, right?

Someone, please, refresh my memory. Wasn’t she moving to Switzerland?

Many MN people are Lutherans, and they are secularists for the most part and never met a tax they could not support.

I’ve been in such a funk for a decade now. Every time I consider getting back in the fray something like Alabama occurs. Even my own sister said there were “other issues” more important than abortion.

The Frankens moved to the Land of 1000 Lakes when Al was four. Norm came to the Twin Cities for a job at age 27. Both were born in New York.

Michelle was born an Iowan. She was 13 when the Bachmanns drove over the state line.

Concur; I’m so tired of losing candidates taking it on themselves to lose a race when a better positioned candidate would have a better shot at winning.

Gee, what we need are GOPe RINO candidates that will get behind the Trump agenda. The last year really proved that! < /sarcasm >

And Franken left the state the minute he got out of high school in 1969 and went back to his native New York.

If VA or any other state runs a RINO they will lose. The electorate is tired of RINOs from sea to shining sea. When will you Republicans learn that?

The Republicans give us RINOs to vote for so we keep losing. The Republicans haven’t learned their lesson. A puppy needs his nose rubbed in shit only once. Republicans aren’t as smart as puppies.

Democrats outnumber, outsmart, and consistently defeat nonDemocrats. That is why Virginia’s Governors and Senators are Democrats.
