More than a dozen NFL players protested during or right after the national anthem on Sunday, the final weekend of the league’s regular season.
Nine Seattle Seahawks players sat or knelt during the anthem prior to the teams’ game, as they have throughout the season. Michael Bennett, Marcus Smith, Frank Clark, Dion Jordan and others were among those demonstrating, The Associated Press reported.
Tennessee Titans wide receiver Rishard Matthews remained off the field during the national anthem before his team’s game, while his teammates, Brian Orakpo and Jurrell Casey, raised their fists once the anthem ended.
Kenny Stills of the Miami Dolphins also knelt prior to his team’s game while the anthem played.
San Francisco 49ers players Reuben Foster, Marquise Goodwin, Louis Murphy and Eric Reid all knelt during the anthem before their team’s game, according to The AP.
Reid, who has protested prior to each 49ers game this season, said in a recent interview that he understands teams might not sign him in the coming offseason because of his decision to kneel during the anthem.

The NFL is, to a degree, insulated against immediate repercussions by their multi-year contracts with the media. This will start to unravel when and IF the last-minute advertising buys for Super Bowl LII (2018) reflect a lower value. The power that resides in the Capitalist system is that MONEY TALKS and MONEY WALKS and SB-LII may find this a bit of a problem. It remains to be seen, but I think the NFL will need a truck-load of butt-salve!

Islam is anti-Christ. I don’t care when they say they “respect Jesus”. Islamic ethics are the opposite of Judeo-Christian ethics, which is why they can’t be praying to the same God. The God they pray to has lied to them, deceived them. They even claim “Allah is the great deceiver”.

‘They’ reelected - with a raise and (from what I have heard) a couple of lifetime perks to the person who allowed this to not only last but to GROW during his watch.
In a ‘real life’ business, it doesn’t work that way.
For a ‘quickie’, I present you with the owner/founder/CEO of Papa Johns, who can now find out what happens when you SELL your invention to a ‘committee’ and THEY control YOU.
I would imagine he can’t even take his name or picture off the ‘franchise’ and- the way things have been going - he will be forced to give testimonials....

I have a muslim friend. I haven’t seen him much the last couple years but I did see his brother a couple nights ago (walked past him where he worked - he was outside).
My friend and his immediate family have all been great to me over the years. Helpful, in fact, in hard times.
I gave my friend some info - he said that’s not in the Koran - IIRC - I told him no, it’s in the Hadith. I gave him chapter and verse from memory. Wrote it down for him. Told him, don’t believe me; go to any islamic source for hadiths and read these verses.
Next week, I saw him - he told me I was exactly correct and had given him accurate info. He was surprised by what he read.
Hope I can continue to share Scripture with them again some day. Talk about a tough sell. They have never espoused any radical ideas in my presence.

Was glad to see the Ravens’, whose entire team protested in England, playoff hopes dashed yesterday. Was also happy to see many, many empty seats at the Baltimore stadium. Yes, it was cold, but it was a competitive must-win game for the Ravens and folks just decided not to bother.
