More than a dozen NFL players protested during or right after the national anthem on Sunday, the final weekend of the leagues regular season.
Nine Seattle Seahawks players sat or knelt during the anthem prior to the teams game, as they have throughout the season. Michael Bennett, Marcus Smith, Frank Clark, Dion Jordan and others were among those demonstrating, The Associated Press reported.
Tennessee Titans wide receiver Rishard Matthews remained off the field during the national anthem before his teams game, while his teammates, Brian Orakpo and Jurrell Casey, raised their fists once the anthem ended.
Kenny Stills of the Miami Dolphins also knelt prior to his teams game while the anthem played.
San Francisco 49ers players Reuben Foster, Marquise Goodwin, Louis Murphy and Eric Reid all knelt during the anthem before their teams game, according to The AP.
Reid, who has protested prior to each 49ers game this season, said in a recent interview that he understands teams might not sign him in the coming offseason because of his decision to kneel during the anthem.

75% pay cut is what they need
The NFL is a circus where the clowns wear numbers on their shirts.
LOL! Luckily, McDonalds is hiring!
Real protests against real oppression.
Gonna happen at the Superbowl whether the network broadcasts it or not.
Oh, the NFL? Is that still on?
Sh-tting in their own nest.
Meanwhile, this ex-fan celebrates an entire season without viewing a single down. I’m equally psyched at the prospect of ignoring the playoffs, too. I’d sort of hoped to enjoy an empty range last January but everybody else was apparently ignoring that one too and the place was jammed.
And the Seahawks missed getting into the playoffs for the first time since 2011...methinks that if they would pay a little more attention to the GAME they are paid very well to play instead of focusing on their false narratives and imaginary oppression they might have had a better season!
Still waiting for Michael Bennett to apologize for lying about what happened to him in Las Vegas before I watch another game...not holding my breath!! (And Coach Pete Carroll also needs to apologize for the police bashing press conference that he held supporting Bennett before any facts were known!)
It would be fun to be a fly on the wall in owners’ meetings this off season...I’d like to see a few teams sold, a few bankrupt, and a few paychecks bounce...
I don’t care what happens to the NFL.
I’ve wasted 40 out of 49 years being a Jets fan.
I’ll die without seeing them in a superbowl.
So screw the league.
That figure seems a bit off, try 100% loss of pay and $10,000 fine for each kneeling episode.
At the least. I would prefer to see them cut from teams. However, the owners appear to be largely supportive of these pampered and overpaid player’s disrespect for the USA.
I guess we’ll find out with the coming season ticket renewals whether fans are truly upset, or if there are enough fans willing to purchase most season ticket allotments.
If a player kneels before a game and nobody is there to watch, does he really make a point?
Jerks.

Good job, SJW’s. Don’t let the man keep you down.
I think I still have a good supply of popcorn.
They couldn't even beat the Cardinals!
