I read about 3 or 4 days ago that Iran was going to stop enforcing “dress code violations.” I guess that’s because so many women are doing it that the dress code police can’t keep up with them - and in fact are afraid to do so. The tables are turning.

I do remember that on 911 thousands of Iranians filled the streets with candles, prayers and to stand in solidarity with us. I think many had hoped to reconcile with the US.

In a blow to the Ayatollah, Iranian police announced they would not arrest women who refused to abide by Islamic dress code. “Those who do not observe the Islamic dress code will no longer be taken to detention centers, nor will judicial cases be filed against them,” Tehran police chief General Hossein Rahimi said to the press. This may not apply to the Basij militia, which are recruited by the clergy and answer to the religious hierarchy. Things will really start popping if the people rebel against the Basiji.
