Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R) in a tweet Tuesday compared President Trump to British leader Winston Churchill.
Huckabee said he had just been to see the film The Darkest Hour, which dramatizes Churchill's experiences as prime minister during World War II, calling it a reminder of what real leadership looks like.
Churchill was hated by his own party, opposition party, and press. Feared by King as reckless, and despised for his bluntness, Huckabee tweeted. But unlike Neville Chamberlain, he didn't retreat. We had a Chamberlain for 8 yrs; in @realDonaldTrump we have a Churchill.

With all the absolutely delusional claims that various Marxists have made about DJT this one goes a bit over the top. While I believe that he would perform very well in a crisis situation there's nothing so far in his life that closely resembles Churchill in his “finest hours”.
To: EveningStar
Liberals hate and despise Churchill.
They cannot come out and decry Huck’s comparison for fear of looking like fools.....................

Mike is one of the most intelligent and articulate politicos around, but even he goes overboard at times.

Good for Huckabee.
Some of President Trump’s current haters have their own hateful tweets in the article.

Here is another for you:
I called him the second American Cincinnatus.
http://gunwatch.blogspot.com/2016/11/2056-restoration-of-united-states-was.html
“George Washington is often referred to as America’s Cincinnatus. Cincinnatus was the Roman general who was called from his estate to fight for Rome. He won the war. Then he refused to rule Rome as dictator, and went back to his farm and estate.
Donald Trump became the second American Cincinnatus. He wasn’t a politician. But he could not stand by and see the country destroyed. He risked it all to go against the corrupt establishment. As with many great men, he grew with the fight. He became the indispensable man of his time. Without Trump, the Clinton crime machine would have won, or, less likely, a watered down version in Republican clothes would have taken their place. With no real reforms, the inevitable decline would, at most, have been delayed a few years until sufficient immigrants had overwhelmed the election process.”

No,no,no....getting a bit ridiculous.
Love Trump but no not Churchill.. not now, not ever...unless WWIII breaks out and he proves himself as Churchill.
There was one Churchill, one Reagan and one Thatcher
To: EveningStar
All good leaders have certain characteristics - the ability to rally those around them, persistence to the point of stubbornness, the ability to analyze a situation and see ahead ... obviously Churchill was special, because of his adept ability with phrases and words.
Trump is a leader too, but not with the same word-skill (nobody has that), he’s more in the mold of Patton, blunt and plain-speaking.
Know who DOESN’T fit the leadership criteria? Obama, and Hillary.
To: EveningStar
Trump is a gift from God.

Well, no. We dont have The Hun dropping real live bombs on us, or sending missies our way - yet.
And I pray we never will. But I trust Trump to deal with it a whole lot better than the last @$$hole to hold the office.
To: Balding_Eagle
LOL, I was thinking the same thing you wrote to that poster. I’m like wtf dude, have you been asleep for the last number of years.

Cincinnatus added. Thank you.

If I owned that many golf courses, I shudder to think..
His abstaining is an epic feat in my eyes.

Huckabee hurt himself by allying with John McCain in 2008, but he was right about Romney.
