If they have canceled the individual mandate, meaning you are no longer required to buy Obamacare, is anything more really required?

If you aren’t required to buy it, that already introduces competition into the pricing. Under the law the insurers are required to offer it, but you don’t have to buy it. Does that then open the door for them to offer other insurance plans, without any need for any new legislation?

That would really spike the whole issue. The Dems claim millions of people love it; they can keep it. The millions more who hate it, can now look for other plans. With one fell swoop.

With the Obamacare mandate gone, CBO scoring will be more supportive of repeal. That’s about 13 million people who will “lose their insurance” by choice, because Obamacare is worthless, which means those 13 million cases of lost insurance cannot be blamed on the repeal. That change should make it easier to repeal that bad law with no replacement.

They are interested in posturing and looking good not knowing if the leadership will lead them in a coup against President Trump and they need something to hold onto if they are forced into some scheme to bring down the POTUS.

They have to keep on posturing to fake out the folks back home.

The “litmus test” is that all but a handful have consistently voted for leadership like Boehner and now Ryan.

My congressman voted for both and had Boehner in the district for a fundraiser saying something along the lines that the GOP has all kinds of people in it, then blaming the media for reporting what he said to deflect from his acceptance of RINO’s and the RINO leadership.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said he's ready to move on

What we learned about McConnell is to put him into a corner where he has to fight to stay alive as a politician, otherwise he does next to nothing. Trump did that. He had to show Mitch the way, the only way.

I don’t believe it for a second. Actually the house MAY do something, but there are too many spineless government loving RINO pukes in the senate. One of the worst being my senator, Lisa Turdkowski.

“I still think there is enough bandwidth on the House side to get it done,” said Rep. Mark Walker, R-N.C., leader of the 170-member conservative Republican Study Committee.

But not enough in the Senate.
