So this British Director Wright thinks that Churchill is the antithesis of Trump. Really?

“what does good leadership look like”

It doesn’t look Kenyan, I know that much.

The movie was bleh...kind of good at the end. I fell asleep in the middle LoL...

I don’t know...Obviously I feel it’s important for Brits to get their pride back especially post-Brexit (apparently “Dunkirk” is good? And nominated for Best Film?)

Trump is the greatest leader of our time. period. bar none. So grateful to be living in these times.

People who don’t like Trump generally don’t have any idea who Trump is.

I saw the movie. Personally, I think Trump is a great proxy for Churchill. Both were very flawed men, but they had spines.

Just like Germans Brits have given the world very little in the way of good government

so grateful to be living in these times...in AMERICA.

And while Britain deserves MUCH credit in WWII (leadership, monarchy, people and all) —> it’s AMERICA that really had the ultimate victory and seemed to absorb most internally what it really meant to win and what we really fought against.

Europeans were still traumatized from the First World War and didn’t think the much clearer after the Second One either...Though the Brits had their Margaret Thatcher moments...the rest of Western Europe declined so much on a moral and spiritual level.

It took us a lot longer to go into “decline” mode — and just when we were really about to head to a precipice, God gave us Trump so yeah.

Along these lines, there have been several movies lately about the assassination of WW II Nazi General Reinhard Heydrich, and I definitely detected that Hollywood was suddenly interested in killing Nazis because the snowflakes accept the lie that Trump is a Nazi.

I saw this movie.

Thought it was really terrible.

So shallow it seemed to think drinking, cigars and unconstructive ego rages were the sum total of his character. At least he showed he cared about his people.

the debate around the nature of President Donald Trump’s abrasive, confrontational form of leadership

Seems to me that he's only abrasive and confrontational to those who deserve such treatment. In the immortal words of "Top Gun's" Goose: "The list is long and (NOT) distinguised."

Whatever he thinks, Trump invited the GOP leadership to a White House screening of “The Darkest Hour” two weeks ago while they were finalizing the Tax Bill.

The UK’s darkest hour is right now with all the muzzies roaming their streets.
The UK had a better chance against Hitler because they had better leadership then.
The UK”s darkest hour is also the US’ darkest hour.

I just saw the movie and it was very good. I don’t give a whit what Wright thinks. The movie is worth the price of a ticket!

Trump and Churchill have more in common than not. Curchill was a joke until he turned out to be right...and the former scoffers and laugher asked him (nicely) to please lead the nation out of darkness...a darkness that HE had predicted...

I’m a big Churchill can and was looking forward to the movie. I think I’ll skip it now. I’ll just re-watch Robert Hardy in “The Wilderness Years”.

Just saw it this afternoon. It’s a great movie. Anyone can put any spin they want on anything, but that does not mean it is there. That this movie is supposedly a political attack on Trump was literally the last thing on my mind.

Maybe he’s hoping that the people will vote him out, just as he is winning, as the Brits did to Churchill.

Trump, like Churchill, is a man. He does not lack testosterone. Metro men cannot begin to understand, nor relate to real men. They are to them as aliens from another planet.
