Liberal California Congressman Ted Lieu blamed “human nature” for his “no” vote on President Trump’s tax reform package because he thinks poor people will get jealous of other people’s tax cuts.
Just as the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act passed, the left-wing congressman jumped on his Twitter account to slam the bill for the bad effects he says it has on “human nature.”
Lieu laid out a scenario where one person who only got a $380 tax cut will get angry if she finds out someone else got a $200,000 tax cut. Then, he noted that a man from California will get upset that he might get a tax hike “for residing in CA.” All these people getting upset, Lieu said, is “human nature,” and, presumably, that is why everyone should have voted “no” on the bill:

Actually I believe this guy is on to something here. I would bet a dollar to a dime that when they took that poll that said more than 50% of the public did not like the Trump tax plan, most of those number who did not like it were those who PAY NO TAX.

Poor people get earned income tax credits on top of anything else they get from the government. And take my word for it, some of those folks get plenty.

I think a lot of poor immigrants believe this because all money comes from the government in the countries they’ve left.

The MSM-Democrats think this will make it easier for them to get out the vote in 2018. Maybe they’re right. It didn’t work for them when Reagan was President, but America isn’t the same place now that it was then, thanks to the last four presidents.

One of the basics of liberal perspective is that BIG government is good government. The liberal absolutely requires someone to mentor, lead, guide, think for them as they don’t believe themselves as individuals capable of doing so. They are actually losers taking down a society of winners, because the winners are always people with heart, compassion, trying to help.
The moral of the story is stop trying to help losers. They are Democrats, and they will turn on you.

They push polled the questions ... within the question was 'most of it going to the rich' ... as it turns out, 80% is going to the so called rich, who, as it turns out, pay 80% of the taxes. So, duh.
When they phrase it more like 'here's what most people can expect from the legislation in terms of their own taxes' ... suddenly more than half support it.

Second, fine, California has plenty of taxes and stuff they can cut to appease the snowflakes who don't work.
