Meryl Streep Admits She Reads Drudge, Watches Fox News
By Paula Bolyard December 15, 2017
n an interview to promote her new movie, "The Post," Hollywood legend Meryl Streep discussed her media habits and admitted she reads Drudge and Fox News, along with The New York Times.
Streep, along with director Steven Spielberg and several of the film's collaborators, discussed the new movie that tells the story of the Pentagon Papers through the eyes of Washington Post reporter Katharine Graham. Never shy about her left-leaning politics, Streep discussed a wide variety of topics with The Hollywood Reporter, including the recent spate of sexual harassment claims ("We are on the way to something better") and her media viewing habits. Asked if she trusts the media today, Streep answered, "Broadly? All of it? No." (No thinking person would disagree with her on that.)
Spielberg jumped in: "I'm not going to go on record saying which media I trust." (Don't worry Steven, we know.) He added, "I'm just saying, obviously, there is media that you would imagine I would not trust. Obviously, there is media you would take for granted I trust, and you would be right." (Hint: It's not Fox News.)
"You trust but verify," Streep added, "we get betrayed." She recalled a time she had been burned by the media. "It involves people who are not at the table," she said, declining to reveal the specifics.
But then she revealed some surprising facts about her rather eclectic media viewing habits. "In my political reading, I read The New York Times, The Washington Post and The Guardian. I check in on Politico, Axios and Drudge." She also goes to Fox often, "to see the manipulation."

I also look at the other side “to see the manipulation,” Meryl.
CNN and NBC come to mind.
To hell with ‘em both. *spit*
Wow. What a scoop. FOX NEWS ALERT!
You’d think someone who, in a way, “wore and walked in Margaret Thatcher’s shoes” for some months would be a bit less leftist. But, walking in her shoes is one thing, thinking like her is another.
Reporter? LOL!!
She owned the damn rag!
Trying to appeal to normal people who still won’t go to see her future flop of a movie.
Speilberg doing the same, saying “patriots” have no party.
The media has made a habit of using the word “admits” when “says”, “claims”, or “confirms” are more appropriate.
Oh well she’s probably tired of going to the cool people parties anyway.

Interesting that she quotes Reagan to justify her choices. Twenty years from now liberals will be saying “Yuge” and “Bigly”.
We need to get word to her to switch from Drudge to Liberty Daily. That will really get her blood pressure up.
Drudge has drifted to the left. Plenty of lefties on Fox for Meryl to watch.
No different than the brave FReepers who watch CNN & MSNBC.
She considers it to be opposition research, not something she uses to find the truth.
through the eyes of Washington Post reporter Katharine Graham.
She was the owner, president and publisher of the paper, not a reporter.
And it would have been far better drama to make a movie about the convenient death of her husband.
Reading them and integrating the information into your thought processes are two different things.
She has nice legs though.
So what is the deal with reading Drudge? There is no reporting by Drudge anymore. Its just a version of Free Republic without the commentary. It is a place to go to find a different collection of news stories. But to compare Drudge to FR in terms on selection of stories..I rate FR far higher in terms of types of stories, which are wide and varied. I rarely go to Drudge as it offers nothing that I can’t get here.
