I took a quick look at the cams this afternoon and the streets looked ok, but it’s hard to tell with the cams so high up. Glad the main roads are dry. That will help.
At least it should be warm enough when you leave work to not have to worry about slick parking lots.

Absolutely not!
Hope you had a good day today! Was it warmer? It was chilly here early in the morning, but warmed up nicely. Then to cool off overnight tonight. This is in Yukon still.

With Gods Help
December 14, 2017
So here I am today, eighty-five years old! . . . Im just as vigorous to go out to battle now as I was then.
Joshua 14:1011
As Ive grown older, Ive noticed more joint pain, especially when cold weather hits. Some days, I feel less like a conqueror and more like someone conquered by the challenges of becoming a senior citizen.
Thats why my hero is an older man named Calebthe former spy sent by Moses to scout out Canaan, the Promised Land (Num. 1314). After the other spies gave an unfavorable report, Caleb and Joshua were the only spies out of the twelve whom God favored to enter Canaan. Now, in Joshua 14, the time for Caleb to receive his portion of land had come. But there were enemies still to drive out. Not content to retire and leave the battle to the younger generation, Caleb declared, You yourself heard then that the Anakites were there and their cities were large and fortified, but, the Lord helping me, I will drive them out just as he said (Josh. 14:12).
The Lord helping me. Thats the kind of mindset that kept Caleb battle-ready. He focused on Gods power, not his own, nor on his advanced age. God would help him do whatever needed to be done.
Most of us dont think of taking on anything monumental when we reach a certain age. But we can still do great things for God, no matter how old we are. When Caleb-sized opportunities come our way, we dont have to shy away from them. With the Lord helping us, we can conquer!
Heavenly Father, thank You for giving me the strength to get through each day. Help me to do Your will.
I can do all this through him who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13
Caleb had grown up in the slavery of Egypt. Hed seen God rescue His people from the grip of Pharaoh and provide for them for forty years in a hot and barren wilderness. Hed seen giantlike people make his fellow spies feel like insects (Num. 13:33), yet even in his old age he relied on Gods help to conquer the land.
Are you faced with an impossible situation? The same God who helped Caleb can help you too.

Glad to hear the weather wasn’t too bad there today. Now hoping it will be nice for your drive home tomorrow.
It didn’t warm up as much here as they said it would, plus there was a whipping wind. Not much fun to be outside.
Took Lorien back to the vet this afternoon and he’s keeping her overnight to give her fluids. She got dehydrated being sick and unable to keep even water down for too long and though she was able to keep it down by last night, she wasn’t getting enough. Her little body needs flushing and it’ll get it tonight. She should be ok tomorrow.
Was the service a nice one this morning? Were many of her friends able to make it?

I hope little Lorien will be fine by tomorrow...poor baby!
The service was very sweet. Her preacher from here did the service and he told sweet and funny stories about her. Several of her friends were there, as well as our group. One of Dulcie’s other son’s son Facetimed the service so his parents could be there that way.We all ate together afterwards and they all dispersed. David came to our room later and we visited for a while. He has to get his poor car to the Honda place here to find out why the engine light is coming on. Then he’ll start home...and we’ll leave here in the morning.
Ugh on the wind. Makes it seem even worse than it really is, huh!

I hope she’ll be ok, too, and she should be. Just needs a good flushing more than anything. I expect to bring her home tomorrow.
Nice to know some of her friends were able to join y’all to say goodbye to Dulcie. And glad to hear her grandson was able to Facetime with his parents so they were able to “be” there too. Still a shame they weren’t able to make the trip.
It sounds like it was a very nice service celebrating her life.
Probably another computer glitch in David’s car or it could be a tiny piece of carbon plugging up a sensor. That happens to our car from time to time. That’s the first thing Hubby checks when the check engine light comes on and that’s always the problem.
Just hope something didn’t get rattled around during his wreck that will take a long time to fix. He has a long drive ahead.
Indeed the wind is a big UGH. It makes it colder and it sure was tossing the car around today on the way to and from the vet’s.

Good evening, Mayor, and thank you for today’s sustenance for body and soul.
Standing on tiptoe I can see the weekend. Can’t wait for it to get here.
Temps may finally be dropping back below freezing and some snow may be coming....we need it for a white Christmas. Ours is almost all gone with the heatwave.

The wind was blowing a lot here, too. Started out pretty calm, but by the time of the graveside service, it was really whipping things. Typical for OK, though.
It’s odd how these kitties all have reacted more to their surgery than you would have expected. It’s usual such a routine deal! I’ll bet she’ll be really glad to be back home!

So the wind DID kick up there today? I hoped it wouldn’t but there’s another cold front moving down and that kicks it up every time.
I don’t think the girlies’ problem had to do with their surgery. Most likely it was just a nasty bug Holli picked up and brought home. A few others were sick once or twice and that was it but it hit the girlies harder. Probably because they were a little run down by the surgery. Holli and Sophie are fine today but neither went so long without water.
You bet she’ll be glad to get home. And I’ll be glad to have her here too. It always kills me when I have to leave one overnight because I know they’re scared.

Yeah, I saw that the temp was going to be way colder tomorrow than it was today or yesterday. Thank goodness for a well-heated car. Just dread the drive, but I am looking forward to seeing my orange brats! :)
Phooey! It’s too early to be sleepy, and yet.....

Our temps aren’t going to be much colder. We never warmed up so this will just keep our temps down a couple more days. They SAY we’ll warm up this weekend into the 50s and stay there a few days. We’ll see.
Your arrange brats will be just as happy to see you. You’ll probably be sandwiched between them when you go to bed tomorrow night. LOL
You’ve had a hectic couple of days. No surprise you’re sleepy this early.

yeah, I didn’t sleep well last night. The wall heater in this room is soooo loud and I’m a light sleeper. Tonight it’s off. LOL! It’s not cold in the room so it’s staying off unless we start growing icicles!
I guess I’ll head out. This wifi here sux and doesn’t do well with HD videos. See ya from home tomorrow night! :)

Sam’s parking lot was almost dry...easy walking.
I didn’t know what I was looking for, but I wanted chocolate or ??? for Karma (I don’t know how many times he came in the middle of the night to get my Mom up off the floor and back into her wheelchair or bed) and my chiropractor’s office (they kept me going during some really rough times). I got several holiday packages. I’m pleased.
