GOP hopes Alabama loss is wakeup call for Trump White House
Associated Press ^ | Dec 13, 2017 8:01 PM EST | Zeke Miller

President Donald Trump managed to endorse two different losing candidates in the same Senate race, a setback that is highlighting an experience deficit within the White House political team. […]

Republicans in Washington and around the country say a bungled approach to the race — in which the president wagered his party’s moral authority with nothing to show for it — should serve as a wakeup call for the administration going into what is sure to be a challenging midterm election year.

“This White House is not working on all cylinders,” said Ari Fleischer, who served as press secretary to former President George W. Bush. …

The single biggest reason that Moore lost was 95% of the media in this country calling him a pedophile and a sexual predator for the last 45 days.
Any analysis that says otherwise is absolutely wrong.

Oh, the GOP-e knew what it was doing. You could see the conscious actions, right down to the last-minute “Moore better be ready to face the Ethics Committee if he wins” declarations.

“President Donald Trump managed to endorse two different losing candidates in the same Senate race, a setback that is highlighting an experience deficit within the White House political team.”

When the first sentence of this leftist screed is complete BS, there’s no reason to read further. One thing we know for a fact is that AP is infested with Goebbels’ propagandists.

The people who backed a creepy, polarizing ideologue might study the lessons of the 20@6 election though.

Those sealed indictments will be unsealed any day now Bob. Right?

We do not need nor want any advice from them. President Trump is doing great.

President Trump is doing great!

Establishment lickspittles in Virginia and fringe religious nutjobs in Alabama, not so much.

Maybe we ought to find more candidates like President Trump?

They are GOP-e because it’s a “gentleman’s agreement” between them and the Dems, not because they don’t know how to beat them.

I don’t know which was the biggest factor in Moore’s loss, but the guy mailed it in over the last two weeks and looked like he was following Hillary Clinton’s playbook. Who the hell travels to Philadelphia to watch an ‘effing football game the weekend before the biggest election of his life in Alabama?

+1

Alabama sends to the senate a pro-LGBT and pro-Abortion Democrat while Roy Moore joins Sharron Angle, Richard Mourdock, Christine O'Donnell and Todd Akin in the "WTF were we thinking?" club of shame.

Pure BS. Election had nothing to do with Trump. Unsubstantiated Allegations against the Republican Candidate from decades ago is what did the damage.

Given the slim margin in the senate, Trump would have to be stupid not to support a candidate that would support his agenda.

Bull crap. Moore gave himself the defeat when he did immediately SUE the woman for Defamation, or anything else for that matter.

AND, you can lay some of the blame on Gov. Ivey, who earlier this year made it okay for FELONS to vote, and the Demon party was registering them as Demoncrats in DROVES. There is plenty of blame to go around, especially for the GOP, and before someone says something, YES, I AM a registered Republican, and YES I did actually vote for Moore, hoping to God the Demoncrat Jones would NOT win.

I noticed the democrats stood shoulder to shoulder for Jones and even brought well-known entertainers to “work” the black areas of Alabama. I didn’t see any well-known, “high-end” Republicans stand up for Moore. I understand mcconnell did send money to Moore’s campaign, but why didn’t he show up to show some backing to Moore? Republicans that we have elected to the swamp seldom show up to back a “new” Republican running for the swamp.

I agree this was an anomaly. Indeed, you can look to Georgia and Kansas and Montana to see this fact. Further, when I see people arguing, cynically, that critics of Roy Moore should have purged their music and video/movie collections of all works featuring David Bowie, Chuck Berry, Led Zeppelin, the Who, R Kelly, and others, then we are in trouble.

That said, the headline in this article is accurate but for the wrong reason.

As I wrote earlier today, Trump has tapped into a deep distrust of government, of the swamp, of people being sold a bill of goods in the name of diminished sovereignty and little respect for the Rule of Law. He (and Bannon....let's not throw out the baby with the bath water) rode that to the White House.

This loss is not a cause for fear, but for awakening and mobilization. There is a need for Deplorables to start their own "farm system" as the Tea Party did, for vetting and prepping candidates.

The GOP won't help...we gotta get moving on our own.

Oh my gosh did anyone just hear Democrat Ron Widen [sp?] of Oregon give a speech? There was so much lisping he sounded like a neutered Sylvester the Cat!
