Its probably very difficult to find an educated hard working black intern that deserves to work as an aide or intern for the SCOTUS. Unless forced to hire using affirmative action there just aren’t that many qualified.
It's not like the Supreme Court is important or anything.
I don’t give a rat’s ass for “diversity”. Adherence to the Constitution matters. Everything else is a distant second.
How about they are all tied to two Ivy League institutions and all all non-Protestant, no diversity.

Here’s my question: When hiring people to “clerk” for the supreme court, do they just pick ANY white people, or do they have to be QUALIFIED?
What are the qualifications? Lawyer? In good standing? Reputable? Dependable? Honest?
Picking a clerk JUST to satisfy “diversity”, is suicide...in any business, or endeavor.
Basketball teams don’t hire the first 20 black guys that show up...they hire the BEST and most QUALIFIED blacks that show up.
I just don’t get hiring by a color chart, or quotas.
I just don’t want a former NFL quarterback flying the plane I’m on.
Is racial diversity naturalization or UnNaturalization?
The clerks have graduated at the very top of their classes. They have distinguished themselves and many have been editors of law school reviews.
There is no affirmative action, just the best of the best.
So what?
Most of the NFL and NBA are black. WAAAAAY more than the 12% of the population stats.
Lets start rolling back there are see how it goes.
The supreme court doesn’t even follow the demographic makeup of the united states, why should we give a rats ass about their law clerks.
If we wanted to the supreme court to match demographically just the religion of the United States we would have to get rid of several judges.
currently 6 Catholics and 3 Jewish justices.
Population:
23% catholic
2% Jewish
so we would have to boot all but one justice off the court to “match demographics”.....

I don’t care how liberal the judge, Jewish judges tend to have Jewish law clerks, Irish/ Irish clerks, Black/ black clerks, Female/ female, and so on. Human nature.
Time to get rid of affirmative action..they have had fifty years and they failed

They think hiring a black is more important than hiring the best qualified, no matter what the "identity" is.
