Well, the dam broke for Sen. Al Franken (D-MN). Hes going to leave. After eight women accused him of sexual misconduct, along with the resignation of Rep. John Conyers (D-MI) who also faced sexual harassment accusations, Democratic leadership decided it was time to clean house. Its not a profile in courage. Its not a come to Jesus moment. Its all politics, which you already know. Franken is from a Democratic state with a Democratic governor. He was expendable and his exit allows Democrat to refocus their pressure on Alabama Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore. It still doesnt erase the fact that they gave Bill Clinton and his credible rape allegations a pass, which created this culture. Even with Franken, some Democrats were circling the wagons, giving weak statements, like deferring to the Ethics Committee.
Still, even some reporters, like CNNs MJ Lee, noted how the deluge of Democratic senators calling for his resignation this week was something of a shock since a lot of them went into the bunker when these allegations surfaced.
Obviously this is something that we have been keeping track of over the last couple of weeks as these storiesallegations of sexual harassment began to mount, she said. Up to this point, the silence was pretty remarkable.
Lee added that it was clear that Senate Democrats were reluctant to call on Franken to resign until Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-MN) finally decided she wanted the comedian to go; she had refused in prior remarks. Yeah, whats also remarkable is that the party of women took almost a month to decided what to do, only getting more aggressive as it looks apparent that Moore is going to win the Alabama special election on Tuesday. What better opportunity to turn the page and redirect the attacks against the GOP.
Franken is a liberal Democrat, he votes the right way, and he should stayit wouldnt shock me at all if thats what the Left privately thinks. Quite a sad commentaryand both sides are up to their necks in this.
>>It still doesnt erase the fact that they gave Bill Clinton and his credible rape allegations a pass, which created this culture.
This culture predated Clinton by quite a bit. Ted Kennedy comes to mind immediately, for one example. There are plenty of others.
Beyond that, Franken has NOT resigned yet, he has only said he will resign. Dem promises arent worth a plugged nickel.
This is just more proof on how deep, the deep state goes. In the absence of a President Trump, all of these ‘open secrets’ would have continued.
Drain...the...swamp!

... nor the Environment, nor so-called 'Racism', nor so-called 'Sexism', nor any of the other phony 'causes' that the Left seems to advance into the cultural lexicon.
I've adopted the following phrase for each and every instance of Leftist BS:
The issue is never the issue
The issue is always the revolution

He didn't resign. He said he "plans to" resign "in the next few weeks." Whatever that means.
If that photo had not surfaced, he would have gotten away with the entire thing.
I remember the "recount" during his Senate race - and it was one of the most horrific examples of manufactured votes and vote fraud in recent history.
His whole life is a lie.
And yet far too patient as they wait for him to actually submit his resignation. The calls were for him to resign ( I thought they meant immediately) not announce he will resign.
I saw "Franken & Davis" perform while in college in the early 80's ... and their act was all "National Lampoon" but without any veneer smoothing over the rough edges. In a word, it was raw and outrageous.
In one skit Al and Tom would state each SNL gal by name, with each saying "F***ed Her" in unison ... then the ending punchline would be (Tom Davis) "F***ed Her", where Al would say "Blew Me" .... to howls of laughter from us (drunken) college students.
Really it wasn't that funny back then, and it still isn't today.
Al Franken pretends to want to be taken seriously, but he's never been all that serious. Now he wants to pretend that he's a pious 'family man' ... well OK, go and be pious to your family then, but get the heck out of the US Senate!

“and both sides are up to their necks in this.”
Uhm, no. They’re not BOTH in this. It’s just the Democrats. This is more of that childish, “well, everybody does it!” No, they don’t. It’s just the Democrats. Until the last line it seemed that this Democrat was facing up to reality.
“Hes going to leave.”......
Franken did NOT say when he would leave but that he would “leave”. There is still time for that sick dog to change his mind and declare a “Come to Jesus” moment. I do not trust him or any other demodummie, how many times have they lied before?
The creep will hide until after the AL election... I’m betting that he’ll stay for some “moral reason” and it’ll be announced during the dems month of outrage, over Moore’s win.
I LOL’ed when I read the headline. If ANY Democrat is accused of ANY illegal or immoral act, the silence from the Democrats is deafening. Compare Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton, as probably the worst example.
I wonder what MJ Lee’s next job will be.
With all these Democratic men resigning over sexual harassment, is it any wonder why they support a man’s right to use the women’s restroom and locker room?
Three pillars the democrat party sits on are Racism, Sexism and Socialism, sexism is being exposed forcing a balancing act, as the other pillars grow weaker they could shortly find themselves sitting on their arse flat on the floor.
I know I’m dreaming; the Rino’s will surely prop them up.
LOL. To the Dems and the MSM the crime is not in just doing bad stuff. That is tolerable and tolerated.
The crime is GETTING CAUGHT.
Clean house? They're throwing a couple of slow ones to the wolves hoping to save the rest. Their house is still extremely dirty.
The Democrats don’t have a McCain, Graham, and so on that are eager to run out to the press to receive favorable coverage because the Democrats already receive all the favorable coverage from the press.
