Former Democratic congressman and “Morning Joe” political analyst Harold Ford Jr. has been fired by Morgan Stanley.
A Morgan Stanley spokesperson told the Huffington Post in an email:
“He has been terminated for conduct inconsistent with our values and in violation of our policies.”
According to the Huffington Post:
At least one woman, who is not a Morgan Stanley employee but interacted with Ford in a professional capacity, was interviewed by Morgan Stanley's HR department as part of the investigation.
In two interviews with HuffPost, the woman alleged that Ford engaged in harassment, intimidation, and forcibly grabbed her one evening in Manhattan, leading her to seek aid from a building security guard.
The incident took place several years ago when Ford and the woman were supposed to be meeting for professional reasons.
Ford continued to contact her after the encounter until she wrote an email asking him to cease contact.
Ford then apologized, as reported by the Huffington Post, saying in an email:
Hey very sorry. Meant no harm. And I apologize for whatever I may have said or what was said. And my overtures are strictly professional.
Again I apologize didn't mean to be inappropriate at all. Sorry that impression was left.
Ford responded to the Huffington Post with a statement in which denied the woman's allegations:
This simply did not happen. I have never forcibly grabbed any woman or man in my life. Having drinks and dinner for work is part of my job, and all of my outreach to the news reporter making these false allegations was professional and at the direction of my firm for business purposes.
I support and have tremendous respect for the brave women now speaking out in this important national dialogue. False claims like this undermine the real silence breakers.
Ford told the Huffington Post he intends to bring “legal action against the reporter who has made these false claims about me as well as Morgan Stanley for improper termination.”

NBC News and MSNBC announced in October the termination of the contract of another “Morning Joe” political analyst, Mark Halperin, following allegations of sexual misconduct by at least five women.
As of this post, neither NBC nor MSNBC had commented on Ford's termination from Morgan Stanley.
“Morning Joe” co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski and their crew have skewered President Donald Trump on a near-daily basis, including over the now-infamous 2005 “Access Hollywood” tape in which Trump bragged about groping women.
This is madness. Ford DID NOTHING!! He asked the biych for a date ,for GOD sakes. I am telling you this has gone to an inquisition with no rights for men. I predict this will soon change. Thank God for Senator Moore exposing the political whore lies so boldly as he has stood for Christ throughout his wonderful career. The ANSWER IS DUE PROCESS GUARANTEED IN OUR CONSTITUTION!!!!!!! Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy. I’m a lawyer from Memphis and I know him a little. He’s from the crooked scum-of-the-Earth Ford political family. They’ve been taking advantage of gullible blacks for about a hundred years.
His dad, Harold Ford Sr., was a crooked philandering Congressman who escaped prison on bribery and fraud charges by the hair of his chinny chin chin. I was in the courtroom during one of his trials. The original jury split down racial lines. Blacks wouldn’t convict him. One time, when he was still in Congress, I was at a program at the Orpheum theater and he snuck into the balcony with a white woman not his wife and they started kissing. When he saw that I noticed, he sprinted out of there. He was one of the crooked Democrats involved in the Congressional post office scam.
His uncle John Ford was a crooked state senator for three decades who dressed like a pimp and was known to drive down the interstate firing a pistol out of his sunroof. He eventually got himself caught in the Tennessee Waltz sting operation and went to prison on bribery charges. These days I see him regularly in a Chinese joint. Few politicians have been as corrupt and worthless. I saw him on the senate floor in Nashville dressed in an all white suit. He looked like Colonel Sanders.
His aunt Ophelia Ford took her brother’s seat in the senate. Dead people voted in her election and the race was certified by someone who wasn’t even in Tennessee at the time but she got in any way and made a spectacle of herself because she couldn’t lay off the booze.
His uncle Emmitt Ford served in Congress but had to quit because of a fraud conviction. He later went to prison on tax fraud charges.
There are many other skallywags and skunks in the Ford family history, those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. I’ve always thought Jr. was a little smarter and more honest than the typical Ford, but not by much. Sorry for the rant, I’ve despised these people for decades.
Told some young female family members that when I was their age any guy who was out of line got their face slapped if they got out of line. Very loudly and very embarrassing. If it was more serious police should be called.
I’ve known too many women who play sexual games and when they get action they claim foul. It’s a two way street that should be discussed if we are being truthful.

My Dad taught me to not be offensive to anyone. But I would not have married the greatest women in the world if we met today. I actually had to assert myself to some degree to let her know that I was a MAN!! You are going to see a mass estrangement of young men from this nonsense and a turning down of women by the millions in the work place especially small businesses like mine. Oh I assure you I will be on very solid grounds when I say “ Don’t call, If you are selected, my Secretary will call you” but I can spot these trouble makers at 10m miles.

I knew the basics of that outline and I am from Kansas City, but memories are short. When he was first in the spotlight, there was all sorts of high hopes for him because the Democrats, thought he talked “white.”
It is push back time by fair minded people. I have never seen people stampede like this is my life over obviously innocuous encounters , Except in the Franken case there is tangible irrefutable evidence. But even with him, yesterday 33 Dim senators hysterically now “come to Jesus” over an ANONYMOUS “woman” who says he pinched her butt. ( How easy was that for Bannon?) anyway — where were they when Juanita Broderick was actually raped bloody faced?? This is madness and I respect and thank you for not running with the lemmings.

If Ford grabs women while asking for dates, I'd say that is quite out of the ordinary. At least, its not the way I've asked a woman for a date, ever.
