CNN reported Monday that Ross, who has been suspended without pay for four weeks, will no longer be allowed to cover stories related to the president.
ABC News president James Goldston told staffers, in audio of a call obtained by CNN, that the network’s and Ross’ credibility have been damaged over the mistake.
"I don't think ever in my career have I felt more rage and disappointment and frustration that I felt through this weekend and through the last half of Friday," Goldston said.

So a “journalist” so untrustworthy that he is barred from covering the President, but he gets to keep his job? Alrighty then.
Remember Brian Ross is the guy who, right after the movie theater shooting in Colorado, noted that someone with the same name in that town was a member of the Tea Party.
So he’s got a history of this kind of crap. This one was so blatant that the bosses at ABC took action. But the media do these sorts of things that may not be noted, but lies and innuendos seep into their news coverage.
Give him a decent blanket and send him out to pasture. He needs to be nowhere near any reporting because whatever this douche Ross even looks at, it is destined to be screwed up.

He’s been with ABC News since 1994 and he’s 70 so they’re probably going to let him quietly retire in disgrace.
Why are they so mad at him? HE DID HIS JOB. Trump was about to have the BEST DAY of his presidency with a “see I told you so” regarding the killing of Kate (not something to be happy about, but totally makes his point), and Trump got his tax cut through the Senate.
Sounds to me that ABC New did EXACTLY what you’d expect them to do, being a wing of the Democrat Party. Did people really expect them to DO NOTHING to counter Trump on such a successful day?
However Brian Ross does have a good head for in-depth investigative reporting of his anterior sphincter.
Brian Ross and ABC “News” lied to the American people and he gets an early Christmas holiday. Gen. Flynn lied to the FBI (KGB) and is being personally destroyed.

Now if CNN, MSNBC, and some other reporters were banned from reporting about the President that would be a good start.
Wonder if the other networks will cover this. I read that they didn’t give his 4 week suspension a mention. Sort of a ‘closing of the ranks of First Amendment Fake News”
