Today, the United States Supreme Court upheld the law. Specifically they decided that the travel ban, which weve written about often, instituted by President Trump can move forward. Via Legal Insurrection:
The Supreme Court will allow President Trumps Third Travel Ord to take full effect, the Justices ruled in two Orders Monday afternoon staying lower court rulings enjoining the Travel Order
President Trumps Third Travel Order restricted entry of nationals from Syria, Libya, Iran, Yemen, Chad, Somalia, North Korea and Venezuela.
Lower court rulings, specifically those from radical judges from Maryland and Hawaii, were stayed. You can read them here and here.
Interestingly, although Justices Ginsberg and Sotomayor ruled against; Justices Breyer and Kagan (an Obama appointee!) joined the other five in ruling in favor of the Trump Administration.

correct me if I’m wrong, but SCOTUS said the injunction was disallowed.
The case along with several other cases are yet to be decided
The standard seems to be that whatever is bad for the shameful and corrupt left is good for America.
WINNING! Hahaha.
Sorry, no victory yet. Just progress. The first big clue is this:
“Lower court rulings, specifically those from radical judges from Maryland and Hawaii, were stayed.”
If Trump had gotten final victory, the orders would be OVERRULED, or DISSOLVED, not “stayed.”
On first glance it seems to me that the Supreme’s ruling is this: If Trump pushes to overturn the anti-Trump orders, and the Supremes decide to hear the case, and Trump wins, the orders will be overruled/dissolved. If Trump does not push the case with the Supremes, or the Supremes refuse to take it, or they take it and Trump loses, the anti-Trump orders will come back in force.
Its the only “news” I get on my truck radio. Is kind of good to listen to the enemy once and awhile.
Breyer and Kagan voted the right way? Say what?
Yes! Gotta love it!
Not surprising coming from National People’s Radio.
“Shoes for industry!”
Speaking of which, we're long overdue for a RAT appointed SCOTUS judge going maverick and regularly voting right-of-center on the bench. I can't see any of the awful decisions in recent decades being overturned unless one of the RAT judges becomes another James Clark McReynolds or Byron White.
When that happens, one knows that Ginsburg and Sotomayor really went on a trip.
Breyer has occasionally voted the right way, yes? A guy named after ice cream can’t be all bad.
Kagan surprised me.
Wise Latina voting with us on this would have shocked me. To think rats touted her as a moderate, Senate rats suggested her to GW Bush.
I’d wager there will never be a rat Justice (or Federal Judge, period) to the right of Breyer ever again.
“Id wager there will never be a rat Justice (or Federal Judge, period) to the right of Breyer ever again.”
I would take that bet. Breyer is quite liberal (even if he’s clearly not as left-wing as Ginsburg and Sotomayor), and even Democrat presidents sometimes nominate moderates (either because they were recommended by local Democrats or because they don’t pay much attention and one slips by them) to district courts in Utah and such. Heck, Bill Clinton nominated a member of Opus Dei to the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico.
Good point on the lower courts, which Clinton PR Judge was in Opus Dei?
For Supreme Court though (and appeals courts) I’m sticking with the prediction that Breyer is as far right as a rat will go. One wonders how “moderate” Merrick Garland actually was, as moderate as Wise Latina?
Speaking of Puerto Rico, my mom would appreciate it if you could keep Blaise Cupich down there somehow. ;-)
Judge Jay García is Opus Dei. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jay_A._Garcia-Gregory
Is Archbishop Cupich visiting Puerto Rico? Maybe he can take Archbishop Roberto González with him back to Chicago. : )
Good judge?
“Soupy” as he’s called is indeed visiting the island. The Pope dispatched him there, hell if I know why. I doubt he’s helping to restore the power grid.
Your Archbishop sucks too, eh?
Judge García is OK. Archbishop González sucks. He calls for rallies to combat any move to reduce the size of government, but says nary a word about abortion, marriage or other things that actually fall under his purview.
Lol!
Perfect!!!
