My alma mater Long Beach State has a tendency to pick up transfers from UCLA and USC for basketball. I hope they say no thanks to the Balls.

This guy needs to be a father first, and not his son’s agent.

For whatever reason he did it, his son did act contrite and apologize in a reasoned manner.
While I thought he was an idiot to do what he did, I respected him for apologizing like that, and I was willing to give the guy a chance to show that he had learned his lesson. We all screwed up somewhere along the line. Well, many of us.
Now his dad has jumped in to short-circuit the process of his son growing up. If I were his kid, I’d tell him to butt out.
That is if I had a full ride. If dad is footing the bill, you have to do what he says.
I wish this kid good luck. I think his dad just made the odds on that a bit worse.
