Whatever Flynns other transgressions may be -- the White House says he lied to Vice President Pence about his conversations last year with Ambassador Sergey Kislyak, and the FBI could investigate whether he told federal agents the truth in interviews -- he almost certainly doesnt have to worry about the Logan Act. In the 218 years since its passage, not a single person has been convicted of violating the law.

No, and he doesn’t have anything to fear from carniverous turnips, either.
What he has to fear is an out of control and corrupt special prosecutor and his accompanying machine continuing the process of bankrupting him and tormenting him without end.

The only thing they needed from flynn was his confession to a crime and his testimony that Trump suggested he would try to call off comey. Now muller has a crime and two winesses, comey and flynn. muller will bring a obstruction of justice charge against Trump. I also believe the house will impeach and the senate will convict and remove Trump. The 2018 elections are going to be interesting next year.
If the deep state survives, we might as well join the eu.

Now muller has a crime
The crime was violating 18 USC 1001, essentially lying to federal investigator, in this case the FBI. This crime was commited by Flynn and only Flynn. Trump had nothing to do with it. In fact, Trump fired Flynn for lying to the administration. There was no other crime in this matter.

There's a whole bunch of leaps of logic -- and leaps of pure speculation -- in that post.
The sworn statements of Comey and McCabe in their testimony to Congress don't even support that narrative.

Joe DiGenova noted on TV this weekend that people like Flynn who are part of the transition team are actually paid as federal employees and thus can’t be prosecuted under the Logan Act.

Trump had nothing to do with it
The accusation has been made by comey that Trump pressured him to drop the flynn investigation. For obstruction of justice, you need a (1)crime and (2)interference in the investigation of that crime. flynn lied to the FBI and admitted to the crime(1). comey has already said he felt Trump was trying to influence him to drop the flynn investigation and fired him when he would not(2). Now if flynn testifies that Trump said he would see if he could get comey to drop the investigation(2+), that can be used to build an obstruction of justice case. I'm convinced that is what muller is doing.

The only leap is that flynn will testify against Trump. But a man with the character of flynn would never lie or turn on Trump to save his and his sons ass./s

I thought the Logan act was nullified by the SCOTUS in 1964? It still exists, but is considered unconstitutional.

The accusation has been made by comey that Trump pressured him to drop the flynn investigation. This is where the story falls apart. The "Flynn investigation" in that accusation relates to allegations that Flynn was orchestrating some sort of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.
Now that this whole charade has been debunked (Flynn's dealings with the Russians were perfectly legal, and were done with the knowledge and permission of the Obama administration), you're turning this "Flynn investigation" into something else entirely.
Every FBI official who has testified in this matter has said that firing Comey did absolutely nothing to stop any ongoing FBI investigation.
And since the FBI director serves as a presidential appointee anyway, the President of the United States can fire him for any damn reason at all.

Here’s the problem, and this is as good a source as any: https://www.nytimes.com/2017/12/04/us/politics/obstruction-of-justice-trump-explained.html
The interesting thing here about Flynn, is that for anything to have the slightest traction, there needs to have been a crime committed beyond Flynn lying. And there is yet to be any proof of anything. At all.
Also, Trump’s tweet was not under oath. It was a tweet. And he has a reputation for being, um, less than honest and just trolling in his tweets. Under oath he could easily say, “No, at that time I did not know Flynn was lying to the FBI as well, but when I tweeted, he had admitted to it. I was just including that info in my tweet.
This is a tempest in a teapot. And I’d say that if we were talking about Hillary and a subordinate. This is pure lunatic politics in an era of lunatic politics. It’s kinda fun to watch.

We'll see. You seem to overlook a government that can cover fast and furious, irs targeting, Benghazi, clinton destruction of evidence (hell the FBI helped her destroy evidence) and clinton conducting secrete state department business on a private server to hide it from oversight. And don't even get me started on uranium1. All this with barely more then the symbolic peep from congress and full support from the media.

We are not talking about a court of law, this is about a congress that turns a blind eye to, and participates in, all kinds of unconstitutional activities. The crime flynn has already plead guilty to will be enough. Opinions may vary, but the end result will tell all.

Does anyone remember Obozo made a world tour, meeting foreign dignitaries whilst giving speeches as a candidate in the summer of 2008?
Yeah, thought you remembered
