Time Magazine called to say that I was PROBABLY going to be named Man (Person) of the Year, like last year, but I would have to agree to an interview and a major photo shoot. I said probably is no good and took a pass. Thanks anyway!

Someone noted earlier that the last cover showed Trump with the letter M in "TIME" in a red font positioned in a way that resembled horns. Not quite Obama's "halo" effect in photos,eh?

Hard to think of a runner up.Mohammed bin Salman, crown prince of Saudi Arabia.

They will put the neelers on the cover—that or Judge Roy Moore as pervert of the year. No Republican this year—Maybe Rocketman Kim? Maybe John McCain? Waters? The congress woman not the Fox Guy.

Oh, their fragile media egos will not handle that rejection well.
Plus, that “of the Year” issue is the only thing they have to remind the public on an annual basis that the magazine is still in existence!

When you come right down to it, TIME has probably given Trump a big publicity boost over the years.
True, their copy is usually trashes him, but the photo-journalism of TIME is the best in the world.
TIME put Steve Bannon on the cover a few months back. That was when the public at large had no idea who he was. They painted Bannon as Trump’s Darth Vadar, but so what.
We’re benefiting from that publicity because as Bannon roams the country for MAGA, he’s a known quantity and earns respect for pugnacious style.
Sure, you cringe when you read the text, but on the whole, TIME has been a positive for Trump and MAGA, even though they don’t necessary want to be so.

Good for him! Unlike so many other shameless types that we could name, President Trump doesn’t need his face on a magazine, the magazine needs him more than he does.
My guess is: it’ll be Kapernick and how he’s “improved” the NFL as “socially woke” and as a “global brand”—HA!
