President Trump took to Twitter Monday morning to harshly condemn NFL player Marshawn Lynch after he stood for the Mexican national anthem, yet took a knee for the U.S. Star Spangled Banner during Sunday Night Football over the weekend.
Marshawn Lynch of the NFLs Oakland Raiders stands for the Mexican Anthem and sits down to boos for our National Anthem. Great disrespect! Next time NFL should suspend him for remainder of season. Attendance and ratings way down. Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 20, 2017

Lynch is a running back for the Oakland Raiders and was playing against the New England Patriots when he made the controversial move.
President Trump has regularly criticized individual NFL players for refusing to stand for the U.S. national anthem. He's also gone after NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, who refuses to implement an enforced policy that requires players to stand.
Since protests against the national anthem started last year, NFL ratings have plummeted with fans citing players' refusal to stand for the American flag as the main reason they're tuning out of games. The business cost to the NFL is enormous.
As Roger Goodell, Jerry Jones, and the NFL engage in an ugly internal fight over the future leadership of the NFL, TV partners at CBS, ESPN, Fox and NBC are staring at their own internal conflicts namely a substantial decline in NFL ratings that is on pace to cost the four networks up to $500 million in lost revenue.
Already several hundred million in lost revenue has been booked in 2017 and it has the leagues top executives and television partners scrambling to figure out what went wrong. How did a league that was setting ratings records in 2015 suddenly see its audience fall by nearly 20% just two years later.
Because he’s an adult acting like a spoiled brat; takes the money then thumbs his nose at the country that made it possible.
Why were they playing the Mexican Anthem anyway?
THUG.
The game was in Mexico City.
You are a 4-6 team, marginal at best and are paying a thug millions to disrespect the country and the game that made him a millionaire. You can very well be 4-6 with a kid out of a D3 school who loves and respects the game and will make millions less.
Unceremoniously cut the moron. You may not get any closer to the playoffs but at least you won’t continue to lose fans.
because he is African, not American
Why are they playing the MEXICAN NATIONAL ANTHEM? Another reason to boycott the NFL.
No, thats not it. Hes a douche, not an American.
OOPS. Missed that the game was played in MEXICO CITY.
they played both anthems because the game yesterday between the Raiders and Patriots was played in Mexico City.
The game was played in Mexico City.
Sept. 1 2016, Colin Kaepernik disrespects the national anthem during NFL pre-season.
Downhill since then, escalating as more and more NFL players join the protest.
Whatever could be causing it ?
The game was played in Mexico City.
Why?
Maybe they should schedule all their games in America-hating countries.

I was watching a golf tournament yesterday. At the bottom of the screen the NFL scores were scrolling by. I did not read any of them. I don’t know who won, or who is in first or last place. Don’t care about the NFL. The golf tournament was LPGA. I don’t even watch the LPGA, but chose it over football.
Why were they playing the Mexican anthem?
I like watching the LPGA events. When you’re over 70 and don’t hit it very far anymore, the girls’ swings and distances are about what I aspire to. I get more useful tips watching their short game shots too.
