Has this been previously reported? If not, it’s something of a bombshell . . .
On today’s Morning Joe, Mika Brzezinski said that, after the election, Ivanka Trump hired someone Brzezinski had “brought to her” as an advisor on “women’s issues.”
Mika Brzezinski: the liberal who at the beginning of the 2016 primary season was urging Elizabeth Warren to run. Mika, who when Warren made it clear she wasn’t running, jumped on the Bernie bandwagon.

I remain convinced that, if anything is, Ivanka and Jared will be Trumps downfall.
Okay so IVanka is a woman who cares about women’s issues. Someone please explain to me why this is a story. Are conservatives not supposed to care about equal pay for women and other women’s issues?

“Women’s issues” is liberal jargon for the liberal view on issues such as abortion, etc.
Conservatives generally are of the view that under the Constitution, there are no men’s issues or women’s issues. There are the inalienable rights that all enjoy.
And yes, conservatives DON’T care about “equal pay” the way liberals define it. Liberals constantly tout the long-debunked notion that women receive only 71 cents on the dollar compared to men.
But when the numbers are adjusted for years served, time taken off for child-rearing, actual job responsibilities, etc., it turns out that there are no statistically significant differences in pay between men and women.
Conservatives oppose letting the government dictate what people will be paid for various jobs.

That is a conclusion, not an evidence-based argument.
Anyone that Mika “brought” to Ivanka was sure to be a liberal on entire spectrum of issues. That Ivanka hired such a person is noteworthy.
We now know that there was, and might still be, a liberal plant inside the White House advising Ivanka. And Ivanka, in addition to being the Trump’s daughter, has an official position as “senior advisor” to the president.
I voted for the whole deal, Don Jr, Eric, Ivanka, and even Jared who I didn’t really know much about. Trump is a family operation. He trusts them, and long time friends. He doesn’t trust other people, and that is a very good thing.

Ivanka doesn’t impress me too much. She’s way too compromised trying to play both sides. Her brother Don, JR. however is much more beholden to conservatism.

Agreed. They certainly are the biggest holes in his bucket.
I care not one whit more about equal pay for women or “women’s issues” than I do about equal pay for men or “men’s issues”. The reasons for that are many and all stem from the application of reason.
You are naive. The move by Brezinski was every bit as political as was that of Ivanka.
No harm was done and it continues to be a non story.
