House Speaker Paul Ryan called allegations leveled against Alabama Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore about pursuing relationships with teenage girls and committing sexual assault "credible" and that he should step aside.
"He should step aside," Ryan told CNN Tuesday morning. "Number one, these allegations are credible. Number two, if he cares about the values that he claims to care about, then he should step aside." Ryan becomes the latest high-profile Republican voice to call on Moore to step aside, following more than two dozen Republican senators, including some of whom have suggested voting to expel Moore from the Senate should he win the December 12 special election.

Biggest corruption trial in the U.S. Senate in DECADES and nary a word is being spoken about it.
Ryan should step aside, or be thrown aside. Whichever, Ryan long ago stepped in it.
I wish there was some way we could render our utter disgust at them in a collective way, before having to wait until the midterm elections. I’m sure they know we have their number, but it would still be satisfying to have millions of shoes thrown at them at once, or some such thing.
I will assume ... no, let me amend that ... I am alleging that they are making backroom deals, getting payoffs in cash and legislative promises, and actively assisting the smear on the ground where possible.

I have had it with the GOP. They are in some ways worse than the Dims (whom I pretty much consider the lowest form of pond scum).

I think many have not inkling of what “credible” means. It does not mean “told by a weeping woman in the presence of her pettifogging lawyer.”

Well, they may not be credible, but the thing is, the damage is done and the seat will go to the Dem unless Moore gracefully bows out. Let him sue the WP and other sources if the accusations are false, but don’t let him mess things up for our slim majority (not that it’s helped much).

Agree. There are many holes in the two key stories, the one from Corfman, who claimed sexual misconduct by Moore when she was 14 and the Nelson story about the attempted rape in his car.
Moore better have some ppl working on this and come up with something soon. There was talk of a tape where a reporter was paying ppl for a story. There was talk that Corfman had falsely charged other men, even a pastor.
There is something not right about the Nelson story. She had a yearbook that came out in August, on her at work in Dec. Her boyfriend was 5 minutes away, but it was cold outside so she decided to get into Moore’s car. Why not just go back into the warm restaurant.
She claimed she couldn’t get out of the car, she was locked in, but that was impossible in 1977, even if he had automatic locks. In that day you could still flip them open.
Clearly the date & place underneath Moore’s alleged signature was by a different person and not her , otherwise she would have said “He signed it & I dated it” He was a DDA, but signed DA. He used to word Love, to a 16 year old girl he barely knew instead of “Best Wishes” or something like that?
She claims ppl saw them leave together, so if he had tried to get her to have oral sex, she declined and he then roughed her up, so violently that it bruised her neck, why would he then push her out onto the cold pavement. If he did what she said, when someone finds her, they would know it was him. If she refused to give him a BJ, just tell her to get out and them drive away.
If his ppl don’t find a way to discredit these women, like Trump was able to do with his false accusers, he’s toast.
EXACTLY! I have so many friends that are 55 and over that I’ve known since I was in my teens and she is not fooling me, she is in her 70s, no question whatsoever. I know exactly how someone looks in their 50s and this woman is NOT 56! She is at least late 60s early 70s in age.
