There is a very high correlation between sleep apnea and high blood pressure. If you snore at night or your partner tells you that you snore, please, please, get a sleep apnea study done.

I did not and now I am on daily BP meds and likely will be for the rest of my life.

I recommend taking your BP monitor in with you when you see the doc and check it against what the doc reads. It also might be worth while to request a larger cuff at the doctor’s office.

About 15 years ago, a nurse took my BP using a Large cuff. My BP was high. She then took my BP using the Mid-size cuff and my BP registered 10 points lower.
