FReeper Canteen ~ Sunday Chapel ~ ISN'T IT OBVIOUS? ~ 12 November 2017
God Bless and Watch Over Our Troops and Veterans Worldwide !! | The Canteen Crew

ISN'T IT OBVIOUS?

This warning label (among about a half dozen warning labels) appears on my son's baby carriage: Do not fold carriage with baby inside!

It may seem funny to state something so obvious, but I suppose to cover themselves against lawsuits from people who couldn't figure out to first remove the baby, they put on the warning label.

The Prophet Micah gives us easy-to-follow instructions for a good life that seems so obvious and elementary we wonder, is that all we have to do to live happily and peacefully?

The answer is YES! All we need do is follow these simple rules:

To do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly
with thy God!

Micah 6:8

Chaplain Mitch Schranz

Mmmm....I’ll bet it’s going to be the best of all! And I’ll bet they’ll be happy in the long run that they listened to you. They made more money and no one was unhappy!

Best advice!

I have found peace and a quiet space since I retired.

I do nothing I don’t want to and have no one to tell me I HAVE to do one thing or the other. It’s a no-stress life.

So far, that is....

Wow, that was an excellent read, my. Thanks for posting the link. It's true that we civilians can never truly understand what vets live with afterwards, no matter how much we wish we could.

So, this Veterans’ Day, if you see a vet sitting by themselves at a restaurant or on a train or shopping at the grocery store alone, take a moment to speak with them. Take them out of their solitary world for a moment. You’ll be happy you did.

That's something that should be done ANY day. I do when the opportunity arises in hopes of making THEM happy for at least a few moments.

Good evening, Radu!

*HUGS*

A Blessed Lord's Day to you and yours!

I went back into the salt mines to work myself into the ground for another soulless corporation, as I have done for the last forty years.

Nope, no cat-astrophes this evening. LOL! Just a nice catching up with my brother. I hope I’ve enticed him to come down for a visit by mentioning the pecans are dropping now. LOL! He and his wife love pecans.

Yes, indeedy, those three are VERY handsome!

I am sure I have said this before, but my routine after spec op on a sub was to go far into the desert and decompress

Sit alone for days

Hoo-boy, sounds like fun.
Not.

But I’ve known so many people who couldn’t wait to retire, then couldn’t stand the boredom when they did. LOL!

Think of retirement as being on vacation, permanently.
You might get a little squirrely for a little while,
but that’s what video games are for.

Well, it gives you plenty of time to reflect on things. I do hope you have someone to talk to when you do feel like it. :)

I can’t say “all the time” because I don’t get out and about every day. But when I do get out and about, my eyes are always open for the chance. Many vets in the area so it happens often.

When you first go on patrol things get wiggy, girl problems is the major factor, and you gotta get these guys off that thought and into the mission

Then you get your mind in the job and you find a rhythm.

2 weeks back in transit and guys get wiggy again thinking about girls
