The allegations against Roy Moore are disgusting — and if you find yourself reluctant to say so because of your politics, then you’re pretty gross, too.
The Leigh Corfman story, reported by the Washington Post, is about so much more than just some older guy having a relationship with some younger girl. That, of course, would be bad enough — many girls haven’t even had their f***ing periods at age 14 — but this is also about a man who abuses his power to prey on the powerless. It’s about a respected district attorney finding a girl in a vulnerable position (waiting with her mother outside of a child-support hearing) and relishing in the opportunity to take advantage of it. It’s a sick story that is all too common, and one that will continue to be common if we refuse to speak out against it.
I believe that Roy Moore was a predator with a penchant for teenage girls. No, not because I’m some p***y-hat-wearing snowflake (as eloquent as that argument is) but because of logic. As my colleague David French notes, there are a lot of reasons to believe these allegations: There are multiple accusers. These women didn’t come to the press seeking attention, they simply answered the questions when the press came to them. They have witnesses corroborating their stories. Finally, the woman with the most serious allegations, Leigh Corfman, voted for Donald Trump in 2016 — making the political-hit-job storyline laughable at best.
If you think there’s no way you know anyone personally who has been through something like this; you’re wrong again, and it’s time for people on all political sides to recognize reality: These men are everywhere, so are their victims, and those victims aren’t talking points for your partisan-hack gotcha tweets. They’re people.

I’m unwilling to say guilty or not guilty without a lot more facts, but your point is valid, I believe in innocent until proven guilty, and so far as I’ve heard there is little to support the accusations.
If we can disqualify every candidate simply by making accusations there will be no one on the ballot.

Another point in your favor: In the primary, I understand Moore was totally savaged by the GOPe. Steve Bannon said they spent $30 million and did a horrendous personal attack with advertising on Moore. No discussion of issue whatsoever in the ad — just personal attack after personal attack!
Given that $30 million worth of hatred, is it any surprise that the same outlets (McConnell, McCain) are out in front of this allegation?

Watching Progressives question conservatives at government hearings is like listening to chalk scratch against a backboard, but only much worse.

Politically speaking, Romney is somewhere between a “has been” and a “never was”.
Politics is sport to the wealthy. The outcomes and mistakes that our government makes doesn't really hurt them. Like I said it's all a game to them, a sport. It's we the 'normals' that have stake in the political game and pay for all the globalist uniparty shenanigans.
You know, back in the day, the very artfully contrived term “jailbait” existed for a reason.
Nibbling on jailbait was never a crime. Take the hook - big trouble. As they said in my neck of the woods when it was relevant, “fifteen will get you twenty”.
In this case it doesn’t matter. We are in a war, Patton slapped a coward. So what?
Interesting lies. Corfman works for Hillary.
The man was expected to provide for the woman. It takes a while for a man to acquire the means to do so. By the time he has the means all of the females his age are married. Thru most of the 20th century it was not at all unusual for a woman to marry at 16 or younger often to a man in his thirties. My mother married at 16 in 1941, Dad was in his mid 20's. I really hate all this moral and historical revisionism going on today.
In the 19th century girls were getting married at 12-14 years old. Again to a much older man.
Today a woman is considered an adult at 17/18 years old. There is absolutely nothing wrong with any man dating an adult women. It is her choice and if she say yes I don't see the slightest problem with it.
Oh and I think the 14 year old is either lying or embellishing to the point of lying.
Outside of Corfman, what was wrong with the other 3 scenarios? Societally, this was not inappropriate in that day and age.
If Corfman’s allegations are true, then Moore should step aside. However, her past behavior regarding false allegations is certainly fair game for evaluation. Not her sexual history, but her having supposedly falsely accused before.
As for proving his innocence, that is not possible, and it is the very basis for a smear along these lines. Only once the allegations have been supported by a preponderance of the evidence does the accused have to do more than deny. This is why the huge disparity between Corfman’s story and the other three matters. The other 3 allege no improper behavior.
