Danica Roem Elected Virginia's First Transgender State Legislator
Danica Roem, a journalist turned public works advocate, has won Virginia’s 13th District House of Delegates seat, making her the state’s first transgender legislator.
Roem beat out the district’s 26-year incumbent, conservative values and government transparency champion Bob Marshall.
The race attracted national attention as Marshall, a conservative who proposed a bill restricting which bathrooms transgender people could use, faced off against the transgender stepmother who plays in a metal band.
Looks like the GOP, GOPe and even conservatives got rocked in the VA elections tonight. Should be a wake up call for every flavor of (R)'s. A fractured political party if ever there was one.

So we have a eGOP not in favor of their President who carries their moniker, the get their arses handed to them when they run against him, and in states were we are the minority they are the gang that couldn't shoot straight ( VA, MA, CA, etc etc ).
The GOP to survive needs a turn around expert to build Farm Teams in the States where the slogging is going to be brutal. This is going to have to be a 10 year plan at least. You think what the Dem's did in VA, and what they are trying to do in NC and TX happened overnight? Man the eGOP sucks on ice. Ronna Romney what the heck you going to do about this?
We need someone with the cohones to dream big and even dare say we are going to make VA, CA, CT, MA, red again and put the DNC on notice, fight ya dang pansies!

A sad state increasingly dominated by its liberal DC suburbs. Like Connecticut and some others I could name, Virginia is on its way to becoming a permanently dependable blue state. (In this case, Dan got the “I’m not a bigot” vote.)
