Visiting U.S. President Donald Trump and his wife, Melania, had an audience with the Emperor and Empress for the first time at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo on Monday.
The president and the first lady arrived at the palace around 11 a.m. in the presidential state car. Smiling, Trump shook hands with the Emperor and Empress and introduced his wife to the Imperial couple, who greeted them at the entrance.
In the meeting of about 20 minutes, Trump told the Emperor that he was very honored to meet with him, according to the Imperial Household Agency. The Japan-U.S. relationship is currently better than ever, he also said.

And everyone was happy.... Except the MSM who will condemn Trump for not bowing to the Emporer.

The more I see President Donald Trump, the more I love him. The more I see Melania, the more I love her.
We are so blessed to have this fine couple in the White House.

Yes, I was just saying that the Lamestream Press would blame Trump for the carp feeding. Of course they would be lying about it, as usual.
Not sure you shake the hand of the Emperor. Nobody in Japan shakes hand as a matter of course. But the Emperor doesn’t even bow more than a small acknowledging bow. Best to just say hello without any other gesture.
I see the Emperor and the Empress, but who are the two tiny little old people?
Of course it could be a komono, but then I am no fashion expert. Either way, close enough to trigger the easily triggered I would surmise. 8>)
