My dad, at about the same age, stayed in the Navy and made a career of it.

I haven’t watched a Superbowl in at least five years. Very good comments on this post by all.
My personal favorite baseball announcer will always be Bob Prince. I grew up with “The Gunner.”

I used to follow Brewer Baseball...back when they were the Milwaukee Braves, actually. I don’t remember the announcers, as Grandma took us to pretty much EVERY game from the time I was a toddler through my pre-teens. We lived a stone’s throw from (at the time) Brown County Stadium, and she put the ‘FAN’ in FANATIC when it came to stick-ball. ;)
Our local guy, Matt Lepay, is AWESOME for UW Badger sports. (football & basketball) I cannot believe that he’s not been picked up by a national syndication or TV network, though he is a Home Town Boy and his OUTSTANDINGLY GORGEOUS wife may be calling the shots on that, LOL!

It would be too much to ask . But it would be nice to see the advertisers boycott the NFL

Are you implying that the Anthem is only honoring veterans?

Blacks need their own league.
Lets call it a safe space league.

Since the NFL Hall of Fame Game on August 3rd, I have logged over 1,560 miles on my bicycle, riding when the NFL was broadcasting their games. I have lost weight and gained physical health, thanks to their efforts at ‘social justice awareness’. I’ll keep this habit rather than watching them kneeling and making those virtue signals.
Bye NFL, you will not be missed here!

"Good for Mr. Scully. I remember listening to Vin Scully doing play by play when I was a kid. WOW are we getting old 😞😊" Me too. My mom was a big baseball fan and listened to the Dodgers games on the radio. Best sports voice ever.

I think that some who entered service shortly before the war was over were discharged soon after because the term of service was “for the duration of the war”. ICBW
