I hear a lot of talk about staying home instead of voting for the Establishment RINO candidate Ed Gillespie in Virginia. The reason that is often times given for staying home is that there is no difference between the two, so why vote at all. So they use the same reasoning that was used in 1992 when many Republicans refused to the pull the lever that would have re-elected George H Bush.
Oh I remember those days well, because I was trying to convince people to not vote for the hand-grenade with a bad haircut. Many die hard conservatives at the time just repeated the same line, over, and over, again. George lied, when he said read my lips. He screwed us, and we are tired of politicians taking us for granted. Many even said that maybe a couple years with a Democrat president people will remember why we voted for Reagan instead of Bush in the 1980 Primary. In four years we can then pick a conservative and replace the guy as they did when Carter was President.
Well we sure did learn our lesson didn't we? Yup, but the only problem is you never know what a person will do while they have the power you want to deny the RINO.
Need I really go through the list of pains we have had to endure because some people would rather see a city, state, or the country feel your anger? Looking back at the election of 1992, I can think of many things that would be different if people just held their nose and voted for Bush. Like the Twin Towers would still be standing, China would still be firing rockets into the dirt, would still have control of all our uranium, and many of my friends would still have sons and daughters living. There are many more, but those should suffice.
Yea, imagine if we took that spirit and fought like our future depended on it to get the right candidate elected in the primary instead of bitching that our candidate lost, so we'll jut stay home and let the Democrat win.
Mind you, there are numerous reasons you should never ever allow a Democrat Politician any where near a position of power. Especially if your vote can make the difference between who will have the authority to appoint the person who will become a US Senator when Senator Bob Menendez is convicted. Mind you, this Senator will have a vote on who Donald Trump appoints to the Supreme Court should there be an opening.
Look, no one knows what the future my bring, but I do know that if GH Bush won in 1992, Bill Clinton would probably be living in Arkansas with an ex-wife making his life a living hell as she complains about her alimony checks, instead of screwing up the country. Imagine if Bill and Hillary never would have made it to the white House. See, it does matter who wins between a RINO and a Democrat.
“Yea, that kind of voting gave us the last two lesbians on the SC.”
http://thehill.com/homenews/senate/112879-kagan-confirmed-to-supreme-court
“The vote on Kagan came three months before the election amid a fiercely partisan environment. Kagan received more no votes than any Supreme Court nominee ever put forward by a Democratic president who was confirmed.
Not surprisingly, the Senate split mainly on partisan lines.
The five Republicans who voted yes were: Sens. Susan Collins (Maine), Lindsey Graham (S.C.), Judd Gregg (N.H.), Richard Lugar (Ind.) and Olympia Snowe (Maine). All five backed Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayors nomination last year.”
Lugar, gone. No more RINOs.
Ford (R) got us Carter (D).
Carter (D) got us Reagan (R).
Reagan (R) got us Bush 1 (R).
Bush 1 (R) got us Clinton (D).
Clinton (D) got us Bush 2 (R).
Bush 2 (R) got us Obama (D).
Obama (D) got us Trump (R).
Since 1976 which ones have been good and which ones have been awful? Sadly, some from both parties have been awful.
Voting R for the sake of voting R has given us the now-exposed RINO Congress.
Just voting R is NOT the answer.
I always vote for the MORE conservative candidate — in all elections — primaries, general, etc.
Try to never get emotional about politics.
It’s not personal it’s business.
Thanks
He also gave us Clarence Thomas, While Reagan gave us Kennedy and Sandra Day O’Connor.
O’Connor wasted little time in screwing Reagan by voting to uphold Roe vs Wade the first chance she had instead of being the deciding vote to overturn it.
Which one hired you OneVike, John McCain or Lindsay Graham?
Primary and General!
I don't want to be in the fast lane to same sex lockers, sanctuary cities, Medicare for all, no energy expansion, NEA schools with gay education in the third grade, climate change environmental confiscation, destruction of our historical heritage...
If the slow lane is open I'll use it as opposed to racing towards Gomorrah. Folks like me might have a better chance of convincing Ed than reforming Ralph.
GH Bush did not give us Clinton, those who would be damned if they voted for him allowed Clinton to win or they supported Ross Perot.
Voting for Bush would have stopped 9/11 and many other atrocities that have come down since Bill was elected.
Instead of ad hominem, why not argue the point. Okay, so Uniparty GOPers—along with Reagan—appoint moderate justices. Argue why and how moderates are worse than radical barking moonbat Leftist justices. Bc that is the alternative. So how is that alternative better?
Amen! Youre either a principled conservative or you are not! Elections are not binary choices and dont let any weak knee psuedo conservative convince you otherwise. Im with you, Ill never ever ever pull the lever for a RINO
Just look at the last two Republican candidates. McCain and Romney. Questionable if they really are Republicans. Trump disrupted the scheduled defeat of Jeb Bush by Hillary. Thank God.
Ryan and McConnell. Now there are some fine examples. Hell they couldn't even pass a replacement for Obamacare.
Its not personal its business.
(TM) John McCain
By doing so, he cedes any right to help shape the Republican ticket in crucial primaries in states that have closed primaries like mine.
Independent party candidates will never win the presidency or governorships in our life times, they are a spit in the ocean..... so what's the point?
When Mr. independent-minded Smart Guy goes in to vote for, say GOP Trump, in the next presidential primary, and the precinct judge hands him an Independent ballot with no Trump name on it, he will find out how he cut off his own nose to spite his face.
Duh !

It’s different now. We have Bannon and Trump who are not establishment. We have to knock of the RINOS is the primaries but if they squeak by then stay home. Let the RINOs carry their POS across the finish line. Defeating RINOS is more important then anything right now, Yes, it’s different now.
There is a sly, deceitful nastiness in the words and actions of McCain and Romney that I never saw in the three you mentioned. All were RINOs, but McCain and Romney were RINOs with axes to grind. Politically they were not worse than the other three, but psychologically they were. The psychological angle cannot be discounted. When you put a person with pathological emotional issues into a position of unique power, the emotional issues worsen just like clockwork.
I agree. It’s not like the GOPers return the favor and vote for our guys/gals. Even today there was a thread about how super RINOS GHWB and GWB both voted against Trump! GWHB voted for Hillary. My God they hate us and I hate them back F Gellispe and his sorry RNIO but.
That’s funny. If you knew me you would never ask that stupid question.
I’ll let you figure out who I support. I’ll give you a hint. It’s none of those three.
Suppose your Never-RINO strategy succeeds, and the RINO loses to the Democrat. When the Democrat starts loading up the courts—including the SC—with rabidly, insanely leftist judges, how will you celebrate your victory? Will you pop the champagne? You will have helped to radicalize the courts leftward for the foreseeable future; how will you express your pride?
