In the wake of the sexual harassment allegation against actor Kevin Spacey, Netflix has announced House of Cards will be ending after the shows sixth season.
The news comes after many fans called on Netflix to pull the plug on its original series following a report from Buzzfeed News in which actor Anthony Rapp alleged Spacey, then 26, made a sexual advance on him when he was 14 years old.
The decision to conclude "House of Cards" was made several months ago, according to a person with knowledge of the situation who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the decision.
However, a representitive for Netflix told Fox News earlier on Monday that the company is "deeply troubled by last nights news concerning Kevin Spacey. In response to last nights revelations, executives from both of our companies arrived in Baltimore this afternoon to meet with our cast and crew to ensure that they continue to feel safe and supported. As previously scheduled, Kevin Spacey is not working on set at this time.

It stopped being a fresh innovative show when? Two seasons ago?
And as an extra feel good - It goes out on a sour note as Spacey outed himself as a queer predator.
Is that what they call it now..going on top of a 14 year old boy and propositioning him for sex is now called “Sexual Harassment” HELLO, its molestation, he was 14 years old and Spacey was a grown man!
I suppose his commercials for whatever that was he was shilling for will as well............
Hijacking my own thread here. I just watched Baby Driver for the first time last night. Excellent movie. Must watch.
Spacey played a devious SOB in that movie. He must not be a role actor. Playing rotten, corrupt bastards is natural for him.
"[I]f I did behave then as he describes, I owe him the sincerest apology for what would have been deeply inappropriate drunken behavior" - Kevin Spacey
If this keeps up, the only thing left on Netflix is going to be Trailer Park Boys.
Aren’t they still shooting season 6? If so, then Netflix is still ordering the rest of the season then will air it next year.
And Season 7 was never a given.
Netflix hasn’t done a damn thing different as a result of this news.
Kinda like how certain director gets a pass for drugging and molesting an underage girl in a hot tub.
It started out good but is tiring now. The original version of House of Cards is British and only somewhat better.
As Underwood, he had more affairs with men than woman.
The first 20 minutes were great. After that, complete snorefest IMHO.
If the Netflix bosses had any cajones, the story would have had my little adjustment. But, since Spacey is a gay Leftist, punishment for "protected" groups must be mild.
I tried watching that. I did. I really tried. I got through 5-6 episodes.
That is the lamest, most boring series that goes nowhere I ever saw. Someone said it really picks up in Season Two. Maybe. But I hate jumping ahead in a book, TV show or movie.
If Season 1 sucks so hard, then that’s it. I won’t bother with more.
Hopefully Another hollywood pedophile career ended
“Mentoring” when homos do it.
Oh well, there goes Robin Wright, too bad.
It jumped last season when Spacey did the stairwell man-man kiss. It's the exact time the show was deleted from my Netflix queue. Netflix approved this leftist agenda insert in the show, and now seem surprised their featured star doesn't just act those scenes, or who the star acted them out with.
It does end typically. As expected. I won’t give away the ending, except that I probably already did by explaining that it ends typically.
I’ve never watched it. I knew a leftist/Hollywood TV show about politics would make me wretch.
Glad I didn’t waste my time.
Besides, I knew Spacey was a sick-perv-puppy after I watched the awful “American Beauty.” No normal person participates in such a film.
