Nye is a entertainer with a degree in engineering who just PLAYS a "scientist" on a children's TV show, and has now confused his political opinions with "science".
Do not confuse pretend scientist with actual scientist.

Figured I'd take my chances if shipped to Nam. Glad I wasn't drafted because of Johnson/MacNamara micro-managing the war.

I liked a book of his that I read 15 years ago. A book JUST about space science. But he went off that reservation long ago, he’s just a worthless leftist shill now.

Tyson may be a lot of things but he hasn’t been a scientist in 20 years. He gave that up when his #1 goal in life shifted to getting his pie-hole on TV. Being the leftist shill that he is for the global warming hoax, Al Gore money is getting shoveled his way. Too bad nobody is buying what he’s shoveling.

I intensely dislike Neil DeGrasse Tyson for the same reasons that I dislike Bill Nye the Pseudoscience Guy, but I find myself skeptical in this instance.

Funny, I don't see any "Inconvenient Truth" or "Earth in the Balance" type books written by Tyson. I do, however, see plenty of things he's written about space exploration and the nature of the universe, which is not surprising, given his background in astrophysics.
I hate to break the news to you, but the fact he disagrees with you about Global Warming doesn't mean he does it "full time" and makes a career out of it.
