An appeals court on Thursday halted a decision that would have allowed a pregnant illegal immigrant teen to get an abortion, just hours after a federal judge ordered the government to "promptly" take her to have the procedure.
The unidentified 17-year-old girl, who is being held at a Texas facility after she entered the U.S. illegally, is believed to be about 15 weeks pregnant. Texas state law bans most abortions if a woman is more than 20 weeks pregnant and require them to get counseling from a doctor 24 hours before the procedure. Minors are also usually required to obtain parental consent or a judge's waiver.
Another hearing is expected to occur Friday morning, in which the appeals court could lift the stay. The teenager can then still have the procedure on Friday or Saturday.
Judge Tanya Chutkan ordered on Wednesday to have the teenager transported to an abortion clinic “promptly and without delay.” The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia then issued a short ruling that blocked the order after the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services filed an appeal.

On one hand I’m happy for the unborn baby but on the other hand I’m unhappy that it’ll be an anchor baby. I’m more happy on the one hand than I’m unhappy on the other hand.
U.S. District Judge Tanya S. Chutkan just got overruled trying to push abortion. Although it is only temporary, it shows there is some rationality left here in this country.

What?? She wants to get rid of her anchor baby?? If these women enter the country pregnant, their new borns should be born as citizens of where ever mama came from. They are not Americans. These people illegally enter the country when they are 8.9 months pregnant and have it here before they can be deported, and then get to stay because baby was born here. Saw on the LIVE PD show where they caught women down on the Texas border and they were hours/days from giving birth. Waited on the otherside of the border until the pains start, then come across. That simply is not right. They should not get to stay because the kid is born here. If they are from Panama, then the kid is from Panama and they are sent home to Panama.
Wealthy Chinese were staying in a nice hotel in California in order to give birth here.Then they returned home.

They want to succeed from the USA. Let them. Then build a fence along the border and take out all our military bases from there. Something like 66% of all abortions in the USA are committed in the first 8 weeks, and 90%+ in the first 12 weeks. It's highly unusual for a girl/woman who actually wants an abortion, to let it go to 15 weeks. She's probably already feeling the baby's movement.
I catch a whiff of coercion here.
