(Reuters) - Outside the Morgan County fair in McConnelsville, in a rural swath of Ohio that fervently backed U.S. President Donald Trump in last years election, ticket seller John Wilson quietly counts off a handful of disappointments with the man he helped elect.
The 70-year-old retired banker said he is unhappy with infighting and turnover in the White House. He does not like Trumps penchant for traveling to his personal golf resorts. He wishes the president would do more to fix the healthcare system, and he worries that Trump might back down from his promise to force illegal immigrants out of the country.
Every president makes mistakes, Wilson said. But if you add one on top of one, on top of another one, on top of another, theres just a limit.
Trump, who inspired millions of supporters last year in places like Morgan County, has been losing his grip on rural America.
According to the Reuters/Ipsos daily tracking poll, the Republican presidents popularity is eroding in small towns and rural communities where 15 percent of the countrys population lives. The poll of more than 15,000 adults in non-metro areas shows that they are now as likely to disapprove of Trump as they are to approve of him.

No what I am hearing.
Not what I am hearing.
“Wishful” polling.....
Fake poll = Fake News. It’s that simple.
Au contraire, mon frere — Trump support is intensifying by exponential degrees in rural America.
They must’ve gone to a rural Indian rez and called it a day.
Trump who? Isn’t Hillary president?....or were the polls all garbage?
Silly wabbit.
We have to believe Reuters they were so accurate last year.
One thing is sure, they found the most ignorant retired banker the world has ever known. He has no idea; just listen to him slobber!
Otherwise, Trump should go to this fairground fairground and give a little speech.
bet thousand of people turn out.

That ANTI-TRUMP name just about sums it up.
polling certain Freepers?
“He wishes the president would do more to fix the healthcare system, and he worries that Trump might back down from his promise to force illegal immigrants out of the country.”
Instead of getting mad at Trump over those two things, may I advise the banker that the GOPe are the ones to blame concerning matters like that. He must be pretty ignorant or even lying to the media if he tells them garbage like that.
“The 70-year-old retired banker said he is unhappy with infighting and turnover in the White House.”
I must admit that although it doesn’t dampen my enthusiasm and support for Trump, it isn’t a good thing for this to continue. Personally, I thing this is an artifact of Trump not being a schooled politician and thinking he can take at face value what people tell him. He thought that he could trust Republicans, and he has found out that he can’t. And with the Republican-”led” Senate, he’s in a box trying to replace key people who require Senate confirmation.
Smells like BS.
MSM playbook 101. Whenever an opponent has a strength, whip up a poll to show its a weakness.
