Bump stocks are to guns like fart cans are to cars. They are stupid AF, but still not something that should be banned based on one attack.

8 months in, nothing for us

4 days in, plenty for the Democrats

It’s just dumbfounding how bad Ryan and McConnell are.

Are they also going to ban belt loops? Shooters were using belt loops before there was a Bumpfire.

Tie it together with the 20 week abortion limit and let Democrats vote against their sacred cow.

A 3D printer could print a bump stock rather easily.

BAN 3D PRINTERS!

“There’s no reason for a typical gun owner to own anything that converts a semiautomatic to something that behaves like an automatic.”

If he says that he would also say “There’s no reason for a typical gun owner to own a built-from-scratch full-automatic weapon.”

How about this for a reason? "Because I want to, and the government has no right to tell me I can't."

Congress can stay the hell out of it. Trump can simply order Sessions to have the ATF reverse its OBAMA ERA decision approving bump stocks. End of story.

McConnell and his RINOs are almost always supportibg leftist and statist agendas — against what most of us voted for. They’re a big part of the problem. We must must must replace them with better people asap!

I’m sure one could rig something up in his basement, using a small electric motor spinning a disk with a cam, which could make a semi auto fire at full auto rate. As the author notes, the real target is all semi auto rifles.

This stinks. It’s not winning that’s for sure. They need to stop screwing around with crap like “gun control” — and get back to work repealing Obamacare and lowering and simplifying taxes. And repatriating the Muslim invaders while we still can -

Hey, these preemptive surrenders by the GOP have always worked before, haven’t they? What could go wrong?

Much of the GOPe like the Democrats views the conservative, gun owning, citizenry as the enemy. They will unite against conservatives to pass this and maybe other restrictions. We are relying on Ryan and McConnell to stop this legislative assault. Our odds are poor.

A law against bump stocks. Things of laws against everything releasing to weapons...

There’s already a law against murder; that should be enough.

A bump fire stock is NOT required to simulate an automatic rifle. It is a technique that can be used on almost any semi automatic firearm. Search for videos about bump firing on youtube and you’ll see all sorts of firearms being bump fired including pistols, shotguns, M1 Garands, M1 carbines, AK47s and many more with the standard stock. You can even use a shoestring or rubber band to assist. What I am afraid of is the legislation to be so open ended that a guy with a rubber band in his pocket is going to be arrested and charged with a felony of having an illegal device to enhance the firing rate of the firearm. Any legislation proposed would have to have very concise language restricting ONLY bump fire stocks and not “any device” and I really don’t trust politicians to do that.

The Left want to disarm the American people so its Einsatzgruppen can go about its business unhindered. And, believe me, the Left are totalitarian despots, and they would not hesitate to unleash upon their political enemies their version of the notorious Einsatzgruppen.

I have no love for bump stocks, but if Republicans think this will shut them up they are sadly mistaken.

Sometimes I think the NRA needs to move out of the DC area and hire staff with more fight in them. Men who actually practice with guns. The leftist culture of that area has a way of rubbing off on conservstives who stay there too long.
