Five Huge Unanswered Questions About The Las Vegas Shooting
Daily Caller ^ | 10/5/17 | Peter Hasson

Posted on 10/05/2017 4:03:02 AM PDT by markomalley

Three days after 64-year-old Stephen Paddock opened fire on Las Vegas concertgoers late Sunday night, several huge questions remain unanswered.

WHO, if anyone, helped Paddock carry out his operation?

Clark Country Sheriff Joseph Lombardo said at a press conference Wednesday night that he assumes Paddock likely had help in carrying out his mass murder.

“You got to make the assumption he had to have help at some point, and we want to ensure that’s the answer,” Lombardo said. “Maybe he’s a super guy, super hero–not a hero, super–I won’t use the word. Maybe he’s super — that was working out this out on his own, but it will be hard for me to believe that.”

So far, there is no publicly available evidence that Paddock had help in carrying out his plot.

If, as the sheriff believes, Paddock had help, the question remains: from whom? Paddock’s longtime girlfriend, Marilou Danley, was in the Philippines at the time of the attack. She claims to have had no knowledge of Paddock’s murderous intentions.

WHAT was Paddock planning to do with a car full of bomb-making materials?

Law enforcement officials discovered large quantities of bomb-making materials in Paddock’s car, which was parked at the Mandalay Bay hotel.

Lombardo told reporters on Monday that ammonium nitrate, a chemical compound used to make homemade bombs, was found in Paddock’s car. On Wednesday, Lombardo said that law enforcement officers also found 50 pounds of Tannerite, an explosive chemical, in Paddock’s car.

It’s unclear what Paddock ultimately aimed to do with the car full of bomb-making materials.

HOW did Paddock plan to escape?

Sheriff Lombardo said Wednesday night that he has reason to believe that Paddock originally planned to remain alive or escape after carrying out the mass murder.

Paddock committed suicide after detecting an unarmed security guard outside his room.

How did he plan to escape? That question remains unanswered.

WHY did Paddock buy a room overlooking another concert the week before?

Paddock purchased a room at the Ogden Las Vegas during another music festival, Life Is Beautiful, the previous weekend.

Paddock’s room at the Ogden, like his room at the Mandalay Bay, overlooked the concert venue.

Was the Ogden room a practice run for Sunday night’s massacre? Was it a target? “We don’t know yet,” Lombardo said.

WHY?

The biggest question in the wake of the shooting: Why did he do it?

More than 72 hours after the deadliest mass shooting in American history, the public still has no answer for why Paddock did what he did.

Book hotel room.
Pay bell hop to bring bags to room.
Break window.
Start shooting.

I dont understand why people think this could not be a one man job.

It would have been better if you prefaced your remarks saying this is what you think Trump will do.

Your remark sounded like it was your own personal opinion, a position which would be be anathema here.

He, and the Congress won’t violate their pledge of protecting gun rights. There just won’t be any ammunition.

Hillary was pushing this position at one time.

“When the magazine was empty in one rifle he just picked up the next in line and resumed firing.”

Actually it is much much easier and faster to change a magazine than to pick up a new gun and get it into firing position.

Erase his name? How do you do that, moron? Legislate it? Purge public records? Make it illegal to say his name?

Is that the way we handle evil people? The Soviets tried it as have many other despotic regimes. Revisionism is a tactic of the left. You can't change reality or the facts.

I am completely confused by LEO insistence that ONE MAN could not have done this...or reasonably have done this.

Ludicrous.

I could have done it and I have a bum knee. In fact, I believe I could have done a more effective job than this goober.

Over 3-4 days you can move a LOT of hardware to your suite, unnoticed. Especially if disassembled.

He even could have made several trips to his home in Mesquite.

Nay, the Sheriff is TELLING us that there was at least one accomplice.

Whatever is to be known about this event, LEO already knows. They have been working on it for over 80 hours...the full LEO resources of the nation at their disposal.

Yet, they refuse to tell us.

Whatever it is, it must be POLITICALLY EXPLOSIVE!

Fact: The wife of a LVMPD (known by a person very, very close to me) posted on Facebook on Tuesday “He’s a Patsy”...and deleted it 8 hours later. All with no further info or elaboration on what she was referencing.

He never said that. He expressed considerable doubt that this could have been carried out solely by one man. He mentioned the expert planning that went into it insinuating that this was the kind of assistance that could have been provided, not lugging the weapons up to the suite.

I seriously considered the fall guy possibility but eliminated it due to 2 reasons. Hotel surveillance cameras would have detected one or more men entering the room, and the fact that no one left the room after pollard fired on hotel security.

Yep.

Juat relating what someone else theorized.

Who knows why crazy people do the things they do?

WHAT IS YOUR MAJOR MALFUNCTION, PRIVATE?

And why is the fact that people knew about the coming shooting before it happened “You are all going to die”?.
And why has the pic of him at the Reno anti-trump rally not all over this thing?

This is what the America haters want. More taxes, laws and idiotic legislation which would not have prevented this attack. Congratulations, you fell for it. Never mind the obvious God given rights enumerated in the Bill of Rights, just pass a law.

He brought 10 pieces of luggage into the room. He had days to do so. I don’t understand why people think he needed an accomplice to do this.

Exactly correct.

All hotels will give you assistance to bring luggage to your room.

It is hard to see why people think this is difficult to do.

Suppose he was an arms dealer; that he did deals in Vegas and laundered the money as supposedly “winnings”

I do not see the “arms dealer” angle, but hundreds of thousands of dollars of “winnings” year after year, decade after decade.... not very plausible.

I would be considering selling information to the Russians or Chinese.. and getting paid in the Casinos more likely.

The big question? Where did the money come from?

Perhaps he was just a great gambler and investor?

It is not the way to bet.

Phooey!
The whole thing looks like a set up.
All I know is that a bunch of people were shot. I don’t trust the police narrative, and certainly would not trust anything the FBI would or will say about this incident.
I suspect we’re being had. And I wonder if we’ll ever know the truth of this whole business.

One photo shows a .308 rifle with a bipod - perfectly horizontal to the wall

He was taking shots at fuel storage tanks a long ways off, I imagine the .308 was for that.
