Five Huge Unanswered Questions About The Las Vegas Shooting
Daily Caller ^ | 10/5/17 | Peter Hasson

Posted on 10/05/2017 4:03:02 AM PDT by markomalley

Three days after 64-year-old Stephen Paddock opened fire on Las Vegas concertgoers late Sunday night, several huge questions remain unanswered.

WHO, if anyone, helped Paddock carry out his operation?

Clark Country Sheriff Joseph Lombardo said at a press conference Wednesday night that he assumes Paddock likely had help in carrying out his mass murder.

“You got to make the assumption he had to have help at some point, and we want to ensure that’s the answer,” Lombardo said. “Maybe he’s a super guy, super hero–not a hero, super–I won’t use the word. Maybe he’s super — that was working out this out on his own, but it will be hard for me to believe that.”

So far, there is no publicly available evidence that Paddock had help in carrying out his plot.

If, as the sheriff believes, Paddock had help, the question remains: from whom? Paddock’s longtime girlfriend, Marilou Danley, was in the Philippines at the time of the attack. She claims to have had no knowledge of Paddock’s murderous intentions.

WHAT was Paddock planning to do with a car full of bomb-making materials?

Law enforcement officials discovered large quantities of bomb-making materials in Paddock’s car, which was parked at the Mandalay Bay hotel.

Lombardo told reporters on Monday that ammonium nitrate, a chemical compound used to make homemade bombs, was found in Paddock’s car. On Wednesday, Lombardo said that law enforcement officers also found 50 pounds of Tannerite, an explosive chemical, in Paddock’s car.

It’s unclear what Paddock ultimately aimed to do with the car full of bomb-making materials.

HOW did Paddock plan to escape?

Sheriff Lombardo said Wednesday night that he has reason to believe that Paddock originally planned to remain alive or escape after carrying out the mass murder.

Paddock committed suicide after detecting an unarmed security guard outside his room.

How did he plan to escape? That question remains unanswered.

WHY did Paddock buy a room overlooking another concert the week before?

Paddock purchased a room at the Ogden Las Vegas during another music festival, Life Is Beautiful, the previous weekend.

Paddock’s room at the Ogden, like his room at the Mandalay Bay, overlooked the concert venue.

Was the Ogden room a practice run for Sunday night’s massacre? Was it a target? “We don’t know yet,” Lombardo said.

WHY?

The biggest question in the wake of the shooting: Why did he do it?

More than 72 hours after the deadliest mass shooting in American history, the public still has no answer for why Paddock did what he did.

Suppose he was an arms dealer; that he did deals in Vegas and laundered the money as supposedly “winnings”.

That would explain the plains, the money, even bringing the arsenal to a hotel room.

An arms deal gone bad would explain his being shot.

An arms deal that was a sting, a set-up to get the arms there, is another possibility.

I would encourage the Congress to pass a bill that would tax the crap out of ammunition, say $1 or higher on each round of ammunition. This would put a stop, or at least a high penalty, to automatic firing weapons. It would also cause a dip in the manufacture of those weapons, and would build the tax receipts that the Dems want so badly.

Our local safe shop has one guy that makes deliveries. As long as it will go through the opening he is good to go.

An arms dealer who buys retail? And has no two identical arms to sell?

Many multiple buyers are bound to have among them the careless or blabbermouths who’d become known pretty quickly.

Are you on the right website?

To put this all into perspective there were 57 gun related homicides in Chicago in september alone, with over 300 more wounded. The annual toll to date in 2017 is 501 gun related murders and over 2400 wounded. We’re shocked because this happened to innocent people in a single event, but this level of carnage happens month after month in Chicago, and at a similar per capita rate in St.Louis, Detroit and Baltimore.

So up to this point, we have an individual who had practically no social media presence or public footprint, no voting record, traveled heavily, had numerous homes, a foreigner for a girlfriend, wired $100,000 offshore prior to this event, was reclusive and never at home, had an abundance of money, an extremely large cache of weapons for someone who was not a “gun” guy, had worked for numerous government “contractors” most of which are in the defense and aerospace industry including Lockheed Martin, and recent revelations that there are strange inconsistencies with a previously owned airplane, hundreds of massive money withdrawals at casinos, and other strange oddities. IMO, there are a lot of red flags here, and the big question remains is what was the motive.

So hypothetically speaking, lets say this guy was a spook, or was somehow intertwined in some type of government operation, at possibly a high level, and then turned on the government for a bigger paycheck. If you needed to move “something”, something large or questionable, something that would raise an eyebrow or attract attention from law enforcement, such as State Troopers, highway patrol, or local police, or truck checkpoints, and you were on a “schedule” to get this “something” somewhere for a transfer/pickup/shipment, how could you help to provide a safer cover for the transport? How could you remove the law enforcement presence from the route to aid in this transfer? I’m not sure what that something would be, but there are a lot of militarygovernment facilities near this area.

What if this shooting was merely a distraction for a much bigger, more sinister plot? What better way to have practically all law enforcement personnel in a 50-100 mile radius move to the center for all-hands on deck, freeing up the route to your destination, at the cost of your own life (or a double cross from a second shooter).

All hypothesis, but I agree something doesn’t smell right here. I would check all highway cameras for trucks/shipment going out the night of the shooting, especially towards LA (Harbor) or up through Utah to the Canadian border.

In this house a gun safe is only to keep our to young to teach grands and g. grands safe. Even if bolted down it can be opened by a cutting torch, course you might blow yourself to bits if you get that ammo to hot.

Fire proof safe holds important documents. But any competent safe cracker can get into a standard safe.

“...why 23 guns?”

The same reason why I bring so many tools out to the jobsite even though the likely-hood of needing them isn’t great.

“Yeah - I probably won’t use them. But they aren’t doing ANY good just sitting in the shop!”

If it had been me I would have saved my energy and not carried so many weapons in, and saved it for hauling the explosives up to the room. Make the suicide much more spectacular.

There were some comments from his brother how he was sensitive to perfume, would wear gloves to avoid rashes. He was anxious (hence the Valium type stuff). I wonder if he was also OCD. (That might fit well for an accountant.)

That might also fit well with having so many weapons. Everything has to be perfect. Hmm. One photo shows a .308 rifle with a bipod - perfectly horizontal to the wall. Seemed odd to me. Another photo shows two stacks of magazines against a wall - all VERY even and parallel. It wouldn’t surprise me a bit if he WAS OCD.

Erase his identity from history? I guess using your logic we should do the same thing re Hitler, Stalin, Mao, etc. You sound like one of the zombies that belong to BLM or the lefty nuts that want to tear down statues and flags and revise history.

He brought 10 pieces of luggage into the room. He had days to do so. I don't understand why people think he needed an accomplice to do this.

My question still is, why 23 guns?

We will probably never know for certain many of the facts about his rampage, including why he had so many rifles in the room.

I read somewhere one theory is that he had multiple rifles loaded and ready to go and that he changed weapons instead of magazines.

When the magazine was empty in one rifle he just picked up the next in line and resumed firing.

Until and if forensics finds spent bullets that can be matched to a specific rifle we won't really know.

Also, I suspect that his location was identified much more quickly than he anticipated and that he planned on being able to continue his slaughter for much longer than is the case.

That is what Trump will do. I’m just telling you what the options are, and I have been told that is what he will do. Kushner is pushing for this now. The police are behind this. Sell your shooting range stocks now.

More than 72 hours after the deadliest mass shooting in American history, the public still has no answer for why Paddock did what he did.

Better question is; When was the last mass murder event when we went this many days without even a hint as to motive?

I'm going to be the authorities have more than a hint.
