After a brief pause in tropical activity, another system formed Wednesday in the Caribbean and will likely become Tropical Storm Nate, according to the National Hurricane Center.
Tropical Depression 16 is located about 210 miles south-southeast of Cabo Gracias a Dios on the border of Nicaragua and Honduras, the weather service said in its 11 a.m. ET advisory.
The system has sustained winds of about 35 mph, moving northwest at 7 mph, and "is expected to become a tropical storm later today or tonight."

"On the forecast track, the depression should be nearing the coast of Nicaragua early Thursday, move across northeastern Nicaragua and eastern Honduras late Thursday, and emerge into the northwestern Caribbean Sea on Friday," the NHC said.

Any possible impact from the storm on the United States is not yet clear, but the NHC's forecast cone shows it may approach the eastern Gulf Coast near the Florida panhandle as a hurricane by Sunday.

Ping.
Here we go again...
That picture needs to show the big freaking magnet along the Gulf Coast states.
Never too late for Nate.
Moves right along, doesn’t it?
The “elbow” area would really suffer with such a double whammy!
Hermine was a cluster, people fighting in the aisles of Walmart, Publix and Wiin Dixie over bread...ugh
They have limited idea where these storms might go IMO. Remember for days they said Irma would rake the east coast of Fl.
Not that long ago that we didn't even know they were coming.
Yup. I’m good, still have all my stuff left from Irma.
Oh it’s far better than not knowing for sure but the media sensationalize it so much it gets people whipped into a frenzy and panic sets in on some. After all, it is what they are best at.
I did get my wife talked in to letting me have a small backup generator right before Irma, maybe this time I can get the chainsaw I want. lol
Well, according to the renowned climatologist and weather wizard Jennifer Lawrence, it’s Mother Nature’s punishment for voting for Trump....................
Good thinking. I need a new one!!
Looks like us uns the panhandle are gonna get it!..............
I’ve rented a vacation home for the first two weeks in November in Indian Pass area. Hope it holds up!
The fourth storm in a row. The scumbag left is still trying to pull a Katrina on President Trump and shove climate sh*t down our throat. Maria in Puerto Rico just fizzled so it’s time to get another storm.
Watching.
