Jimmy Kimmel excoriated politicians who sent love to the families of Las Vegas shooting victims, but who won’t pass legislation to curb mass shootings in this country.
“Here we are again, in the aftermath of another terrible, inexplicably shocking and painful tragedy,” Kimmel began Monday night’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” noting that Las Vegas is his hometown.
“And, of course, we pray for the victims, and for their families and friends and we wonder ‘why.’ And, as a result of that this morning, we have children are without parents and fathers are without sons, mothers without daughters. We lost two police officers, we lost a nurse from Tennessee, a special ed teacher from a local school here in Manhattan Beach. All these devastated families who now have to live with this pain forever because one person with a violent and insane voice in his head managed to stockpile a collection of high-powered rifles. And used them to shoot people.
“The shooter was an accountant, with no criminal record, he wasn’t on a watch list; he wasn’t an extremist.
“And, because of that … I’ve been reading comments from people who say, ‘This is terrible, but there’s nothing we could do about it,’” Kimmel said.

If congress and the legislatures would merely pass laws that make it illegal to shoot people indiscriminately or otherwise murder people, the problem would be solved.

What possible legislation could prevent such a massacre?
Even abolishing the 2nd Amendment and melting down every civilian owned gun in the country, would not stop a determined mass murderer from obtaining guns through clandestine means, or employing some other method to kill innocents.
The only thing such legislation would accomplish, is the disarming of innocent people, which has been the goal of anti-American globalists for generations.
I notice every time a lib flaps their mouth about tragedies like these that they can never see the forest from the trees.

Not so much anymore. Nevada has pretty much leveled the playing field across the state regarding firearms. Clark County( Las Vegas) always was like a little NY in the desert concerning firearms.

By definition a machine gun is fully automatic. More correctly the term would be a select fire weapon but this fellow did neither. He just used a Bump Fire stock on a legal semi-auto and achieved near fully automatic firing rates.

Currently, these states allow private ownership of machineguns:
AL, AR, AK, AZ, CO, CT, FL, GA, ID, IN, KY, LA, MA, ME, MD, MS, MT, ND, NE, NV, NH, NM, NC, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WV, WI, and WY.
so it was very strict concerning firearms (comparing it to NY)?? have they since rolled regulations back?
Yes relative to the rest of Nevada but that has apparently has been rolled back from what I have read. LVMPD kept lists of owners, required pistol permits etc. The lists supposedly have been “eliminated” although I have my doubts.
Search around on Nevada Shooters.com for more precise info.
Must do not have a handle on reality...let alone the USC.
