It’s possible or probable that they’re using Psychological warfare and taqiyya.

to make themselves seem more powerful and scary than they actually are.

It costs them nothing to claim responsibility.

The picture of the supposed ISIS shooter that was on another thread looks nothing like the 60 something guy the LV cops claim is the shooter. ISIS is either looking for headlines or this is more fake news.

Whenever you see mass shootings and murders, you will see ISIS claiming responsibility.

It’s their schtick. Take it with a grain of salt until there’s good evidence.

With all his social media contacts and likes of various left radical groups ( now purged by ?) its not at all unlikely that he communicated even informally with IS who uses social media to proseletyze and recruit

While this may not reach the level of “ muslim conversion” ISIS would embrace his actions and praise him even if they simply had him in their data base of sympathizers

Strangely enough, there appears to be another person of that same name (middle name is different but the initial is the same), but about 20 years younger and from Florida, who is an Islamic convert and even has a Muslim name - Samir al something.

The Israeli press reported this morning that Israeli secret services knew about this guy, and that was who they assumed it was. The report was taken down when his photo and local ID was shown.

So was this a case of mistaken ID, opportunistic claims by ISIS, or perhaps some utterly bizarre identity theft?

The whole thing was obviously planned well in advance, since there is no way they could have booked a room there and gotten the guns and platforms in at the last minute. ISIS made its Las Vegas threat in May.

Of course, insurance agents and Christians, too, sometimes consider the weather “an act of God.”

Insurance agents consider EVERYTHING an 'Act of God'.

Insurance agent: Your is covered for EVERYTHING except 'Acts of God', wars, riots, insurrections and revolutions.

Homeowner: What are 'Acts of God'? Insurance Agent: Tornadoes, floods, hurricanes, hailstorms, thunderstorms, high winds, meteors, comets, firestorms, earthquakes, volcanoes and sinkholes. Homeowner: Just what AM I COVERED FOR? Insurance Agent: Everything else........................

This is the event that could easily trigger the General Confiscation. When you hear the screeching hysteria, you’ll know the process has begun.

If their claim is a rare false one...

The Atlantic's staff goes on the record here saying they believe it is rare that the Islamic State makes false claims.

W O W !

The Left will always out itself given time.

Why a lie?

1) Because ISIS follow the Koran’s instruction to lie.

2) Because they believe in “never let a crisis go to waste”

3) Because terror anywhere enables their “cause”.
