The governor Ricardo Rossello has little experience. Hes 36 and never really held a job and never dealt with a budget. His entire administration is totally inexperienced and they have no clue how to handle a crisis of this magnitude.

“e.g...They have their own currency?....”
Puerto Rico doesn’t use dollars?
You have a link to that?
Major corruption investigations ongoing in Puerto Rico as I write this. This was all happening BEFORE the hurricane. They Puerto Ricans are killing the Puerto Ricans.
And this Mayor who praised the FALN terrorist, SHE has the gall to bash Trump? Uh, excuse me, but you were praising a terrorist who blew up buildings in the USA for PR independence and now OH! Now, independence is not what you want. No, now the evil USA must help and it’s all the fault of the US President that you didn’t prepare.
They,Puerto Ricans ,are killing the Puerto Ricans.
As in Chicago, Baltimore etc etc etc ..DEMS All !!!
And they all want hardworking folks to bail out the lazy bums on welfare in their dying cities....
Mother Nature does not discriminate....Live in hurricane alley, live at the foot of a volcano, live at edge of an ocean etc etc etc ....DO NOT ask the rest of us to make up for your ignorance or Mother Natures doings !!
What can we do to support PR independence?
Report: Puerto Rico Teamsters Union, Frente Amplio, Refuse to Deliver Supplies ..
All say ‘Heil’ to Union members of P>R> !
Could become Haiti.
I just spoke to my mainland son (the one in Special Forces) who has spoken with my son in Puerto Rico. So some phone service is working. He lives in a middle class suburb of San Juan. He says the water has been restored, and that the lines at gas stations, stores, etc. are unbelievable. For the moment he is OK, but I wonder how much food he has on hand. When I was caring for my late husband at home when he was dying from Alzheimers, I stored up about 3 months worth of food, so I would not need to go shopping at the end.
I gather there was no training, no planning, for such an event as a major hurricane. No wonder more Puerto Ricans live in New York than on the island.
Sounds like they’re ready to be annexed by California.
“What can we do to support PR independence?”
Give every P.Rican 10K USD and a ticket to NYC ?
Blazio will kiss the butts....
I don’t see where you answered my question.
Someone claimed that PR had its own currency.
That claim surprised me, I wanted a link for proof.
The Trump administration had better learn the lesson of the utterly corrupt Clinton Crime Family, UN Hati relief effort and ONLY have their own people dispensing every dime and overseeing ALL ASPECTS of the relief effort and the reconstruction.
Otherwise, ALL of those funds will be STOLEN. NOTHING will get rebuilt or accomplished and NOTHING will end up going to the people who really need it.
Puerto Rican currency articles:
It appears that they use the U.S. dollar, although they sometimes refer to it as a Peso. There used to be a Puerto Rican dollar, which was equal to the U.S. dollar. In other words, it wasn’t really anything different, except as a matter of pride.
Prayers for your son and family.
” Puerto Rico is an island that suffers from its position in the middle of the Caribbean and its physical separation from the U.S. Its roads were in disrepair and its electrical grid was antiquated PRIOR to the hurricane. The island has also suffered for Years from ineffective local government and rising local Territorial Debt.
The Navy used to operate a large Navy base there, Naval Station Roosevelt Roads. I spent six months on the island in 1993, but when the islands population protested the presence of the training range at nearby Vieques Island, the Navy shuttered the base, taking $300 million a year out of the Puerto Rican economy.
If they still had that Navy base theyd be in better shape, but local politicos wanted it gone.”
When you let Hillary get off scott free, it only emboldens her.
She and her mob syndicate need to go down for the count.

All he needs now is a doctored-up Hawaiian “birth certificate” and he can be the next Obama!!!
