I don’t see where you answered my question.
Someone claimed that PR had its own currency.
That claim surprised me, I wanted a link for proof.

It appears that they use the U.S. dollar, although they sometimes refer to it as a Peso. There used to be a Puerto Rican dollar, which was equal to the U.S. dollar. In other words, it wasn’t really anything different, except as a matter of pride.

P.R. uses the U.S.D., food stamps & electronically transferred welfare checks.

They do not have their own currency.
