Just one week after many members of the Patriots kneeled during the national anthem, a new report indicates that they will all stand together as a team next time out.
A league source told CSNNEs Gary Tanguay on Tuesday that all Patriots players will stand during the national anthem before next Sundays game against the Carolina Panthers at Gillette Stadium. Many stood and interlocked their arms during the anthem last Sunday before the game against the Texans, while a large portion kneeled.
Teams across the league had similar demonstrations last Sunday, which were mostly a response to controversial comments made by President Donald Trump about NFL players who sit or kneel during the national anthem. The president described such players as sons of bitches during a rally in Alabama last Friday, also declaring that they should be fired for doing so.
Patriots owner Robert Kraft was among many executives across the league to respond to Trumps comments, saying he was deeply disappointed by his remarks. Quarterback Tom Brady also said he disagrees with what Trump said, supporting his teammates right to choose what to do during the anthem. Both Kraft and Brady stood during the anthem last Sunday, while Brady locked arms with Patriots receiver Phillip Dorsett.
The decision of many players to kneel during the national anthem in Foxboro drew a wide range of reactions, some negative. Former Patriots tackle Matt Light said he felt ashamed to be a Patriot for the first time in his life. Fans appeared split on the issue of players protesting the anthem.
If the Patriots do end up standing as a collective group during the national anthem next Sunday, it will send the message of unity that the players were trying to send last weekend.

They (and I mean every player that took part in this disrespect) can stand on their head waving the Flag with their toes for all I care.
The NFL lost me as a fan, and a viewer last year.
I don’t think they get it.
They see depressed ticket sales.
They see media interest.
They are so attached to admiring themselves in the mirror that they’ve forgotten true humility.
I’ll hear sick attitudes, such as, “we place the unity of our team and our love of the sport above our national duty”.
They have too arrogant. They criticize one of the few forms of government, which allows their industry to exist, reaping a harvest from millions of sportsmen who love the sport.
Most football fans identify with the hard physical prowess of team sports. They don’t identify with the arrogance of spoiled millionaires who gleaned their success from criminality and disdain of hard honest work.
They have no moral compass.
They unify to take a knee, then to stand up, signifying they stand together in their hypocrisy.
They’re spoiled little brats with more worldly power than they can responsibly manage. They want more and aren’t satiated by the excesses they have.
If we wanted to watch P***sies On The Field (POTF), we’ll tune into the LFL.
The NFL has crossed the Rubicon and to quote Admiral Yamato: "awoken a sleeping giant and filled him with a terrible resolve".
We are at war; the NFL started this cultural war against US, against America and they are attacking EVERYTHING WE STAND FOR, BELIEVE IN AND HOLD NEAR AND DEAR.
Like WWII, there can not be any, truce, or "compromise" for the sake of their false notion of "unity", no "cessation of hostilities" with those who have made themselves our enemies with out a cause.
We Americans who love our county more than any game have now taken up the fight forced upon us and like "the greatest generation" we too will settle for only one outcome: NOTHING LESS THAT THEIR TOTAL SURRENDER!
We choose to STAND; we choose to "Live Free or Die", rather than "bend the knee" and subugate ourselves, our families, and our beloved nation to the racist, socialist, PC tyranny and perverted ideology of the National Felon League.
As for the New England Turncoats, we are former life-long 45 year Pats fan's and we will never watch another game or support them in any way.
Kraft's OFFICIAL WRITTEN TEAM STATEMENT and the teams actions in totally disrespecting our nation, our flag, our national anthem, the police, the military made it abundantly clear: the ONLY THING Bob Kraft and the NE Turncoats franchise cares about is THE MONEY, that is all, nothing more.
Case in point; when bottled water ran out at the stadium last Sunday (it was over over 90 degrees inside the stadium), and their fans were thirsty and dehydrated they had the unmitigated gall to charge their own fans $4.50 for a single cup of TAP WATER! They charged $4.50 for a cup that cost them PENNIES!
Now STAND FAST for your principles and America because within a very short period of time, once their money stream begins to run dry Krafty and the NE Turncoats are going to be BEGGING us to return with all kinds of promises and incentives, DON'T DO IT.
Too late for us and quite a few others, I’m sure. It was a no Brainerd and every team has blown it since Kaepernick started it.
I’d bet money it’ll be linked arms.
The “locking arms” blsht is sposed to say the “team unity” is most inportant?....fk this sht....fk your “team unity” and fk all of You spoiled suck ass litle biatches.

Came the time when the people of Israel mocked, disrespected and dismissed God after the reign of David. He tried through a number of his descendants to ignore them until the dismissal was almost total.
He banished them from the land and sent them into slavery in Babylon. Only generations later did he forgive them and brought them back using King Cyrus of Persia. The prophesies of Isaiah foretold it all very clearly and Cyrus used it as his justification of doing so since it was foretold.
My point is that the League as a whole mocked, disrespected and dismissed we the ones who have made their life as they are living it possible. Even as there were good people among those who were enslaved to Babylon, there are some who are conflicted who must also be swept into our response because of the actions of others in an act of desperation to keep their livelihoods. But because they will not speak up, they must also suffer the scorn.
As for the flip on Villenueva, he is a prime example of his conflicted nature that is also augmented by his training of TEAM. His military training will always rule his life as it does mine in the sense that teamwork is vitally important and as he has become the member of another exclusive team, that training guides him but it also hampers him at the same time. That is something he alone needs to deal with in separating the team nature of the Rangers and the team nature of the Kneelers.
Will Allejandro Villanueva retract his apology?
The Retwactor!
Today’s Boston globe said that tbe Patriots are likely to stand. Apparently they are still having converstations. They want to send a positive message. The other day Brady was talking about how he believed in love. My mother, a rabid Pats fan, says Giselle got to him but she always said that. My mom is royally pissed and disgusted and will not watch her Pats anymore. Not a good omen for the ex Patriots.
Giselle is the “Yoko Ono” of the NFL, LOL.
F the Patriots.
I'm actually surprised by that. The left (Soros) pays for bots to spam comments sections with leftist propaganda, trying to create the perception that most people are rabid leftists and that if you are not, you are some kind of freak of nature.
Those bots crawl the web, looking for keywords. Either this article somehow omitted the keywords, or this particular website has good anti-bot protection. If the latter, that's amazing. There is plenty of anti-virus software, but anti-bot would be a (much-needed) innovation.
So now they will stand with a raised fist Black Power Salute
So, who was Trump referring to when he said, “Get that son of a bitch off the field!”?
There, I fixed it for you.
The work place is not a place to discuss politics. Especially with your customer and especially when it is as offensive as taking a knee.
Your customers may not exactly have the same beliefs as you and you do not want an unhappy customer because they won’t ask you to work for them again.
It is reasonable to assume that you will never find another person who exactly believes the same way as you; short of your spouse (maybe?).
So if you wish to continue to be employed or your business to continue to thrive, just “shut up and sing” and do your job.
Actually they do NOT mention “hand on heart”. Only standing and not talking (helmet in left hand if applicable).
So, they have actually been quite disrespectful all along. I’d wager 75% just jostle around “standing” like they’re just waiting for the game to start, no hands on hearts.
This stupid asinine protest just makes it worse; blatant disrespect, never mind a protest without a legitimate premise.
Stand at attention and place your hand over your heart...
And if anyone in the stands tried to prevent you from doing do
By interlocking arms, pull their offending arm off and place it over their heart!
Coming soon...the classic liberal apology....
“If anyone was offended...”
But wait! There’s more...
“We were taken out of context.”
