In order to establish an insanity defense in Oklahoma it must be shown that the defendant either doesn’t understand what they did or doesn’t know what they did was wrong. The fact that he is trying to use the Koran as a defense not only shows he knew what he was doing but that he also knew killing them was wrong in the eyes of the law. Defendant is sane.

Then again there was CS Lewis who described a similar situation in his novel, “The Voyage Of The Dawn Treader”,
