WASHINGTON (AP) - U.S. Sen. John McCain says doctors have given him a "very poor prognosis" as he battles brain cancer.
McCain underwent surgery in July for a brain tumor that was later found to be a form of glioblastoma, the same type of cancer that took the life of his former Senate colleague Edward M. Kennedy in 2009. McCain tells CBS' "60 Minutes" in an interview that aired Sunday night that he thinks about Kennedy a lot. He says Kennedy continued to work despite the diagnosis and "never gave up because he loved the engagement."

Lol - well, that’s to the point. And I felt badly for wanting to post something about holding off on the repeal vote for a bit.
My niece, my cousins husband and a good friend as well. A grim disease although none of the three had lots of pain, hope it was the same for your mom. I don’t know what the statistics are today but years ago, a very small percentage lived beyond the first year after diagnosis.
Not poor enough.
I’m not going to wish him ill, I wouldn’t wish his condition on anyone but i DO wish he’d just retire and fight this battle in private.
I’ll make up the ill-wishing for you.
I wish he would retire immediately and spend his last days quietly with his family.
He can switch parties all he wants. AZ Gov has to appoint a replacement that belongs to the party at the time of the election. McTraiter was a Republican when he was elected, a Republican will be replacing him regardless of whether he changes parties.
I wish him not well...and soon.
Bury this a hole next to Jane Fonda, it will save me time when I travel there to piss on their graves.
“Very poor” is relative depending on the context, isn’t it?
He’s proud to say he’s going to do as much damage to this country as possible-up to the last minute. He’s in good company with Kennedy, although he cost more people their lives. He’ll have the last breath to ask for forgiveness but he’ll likely use it to lift a middle finger and gleefully (hopefully) join the ranks of the damned.
WOW! WHAT WONDERFUL NEWS!!!!!
Conservatives need to make a list of decent conservatives to encourage to apply for this seat. Hopefully, not Kelli Ward, because she needs to, successfully, defeat Senator Jeff “Fake” Flake, instead. I assume that the governor appoints someone, first, to fulfill the remainder of the term? How does replacing a U.S. Senator work within Arizona?
Most people would immediately resign from their job with this sort of thing, especially if they are over 65.
Apparently he is on some sort of satanic mission, though. Yes, that’s hyperbole, but you get my point.
He’s “reached across the aisle” into a nest of venomous snakes way too many times.
How would you have felt if Hitler had the same condition in 1939?
That’s kinda my take.
McCain has been a failure his entire life and without his father he never would have been officer.
I, on the other hand, only wish he could get pancreatic cancer at the same time as his brain cancer.
I want to maximize his pain.
McCain has evaporated whatever sympathy I had for him. I only wish now that his departure is soon. He has made me hate him.
I will second your entire post.
