Statement from USAA as of today:
Hello Everyone. We appreciate your thoughts and feedback. USAA advertising is intended to educate military and member prospects about USAA products and services, and is placed within programming that is popular with our military, veterans and their families. Advertising during NFL games allows USAA to reach a broad military audience, including those who are currently serving. Research indicates that 78% of active duty military are NFL fans, with 36% naming NFL as their favorite sport. We are more successful in our advertising when we target programs our members watch. Further, we have no plans to end our role as the Official Military Appreciation Sponsor of the NFL. The NFL provides a great platform through which we can raise awareness about and appreciation for Americas military and their families. Thank you, Jen.
The players, particularly the black ones are conditioned to react immediately to any charge of racism. Social justice warriors? my butt. They are being played by the media.
BTW the NFL needs an appropriate Commissioner Jane Fonda...
The NFL is a Shiite sandwich to me now.
Cut the BS and take a stand for America, the home of the brave and the land of the free. Not the home of the politically correct.
Only 17 years here.
I like the USAA commercials. I’ve yet to see a white-on-white couple. You have the Williams family. You know, pretty white girl who throws a football around and her black hubby raves about “The Process”. Now I see the Tenney family with a nice looking Latina who “outranks” her hubby (very preggers)... I get that, heck my wife was a grade ahead of me.
The other featured family is black.
Now each of these are probably damn good people no knock on them I hope they were paid well (assuming it wasn’t actors). I don’t think they use actors for these spots do they?
Still I just laugh at the suits in the back room saying “how many demographics can we appeal too”.
USAA drank the koolaid
Anyone have a list of NFL advertisers? It’s time to boycott any company that buys ads during NFL games.
Apparently, you “outrank” me as I’ve been a member of USAA for only 37 years and counting. We all have to remember that USAA is a commercial entity charged with making a profit by providing us a product at the best value, usually. When I joined USAA, the bank was a federal credit union. I ensured my home, autos and life through USAA. The best way for them to keep rates low is to increase the number of people doing the same. If they can increase the number of members by advertising at sporting events they will. If you challenge them to choose sides, they will do so however it helps the bottom line.
54 year member here. Pulled my mutual funds when they were dicking around with Sean Hannity.
Another 45 year member.... enough of this crap.
USAA should drop the NFL.
By the way, the online connection is “temporarily” unavailable. Gee, wonder why?
I’ve been with USAA for 51 years. Best insurance company on the planet.
So what if Trump issued EO prohibiting active service members from wearing the uniform at NFL games. No more overflights or military bands at games.
NFL can be as anti-American as they want. But the CIC doesn’t have to allow the military to give the NFL any unnecessary prestige. BTW, a lot of the million dollar thugs and their commie billionaire owners will be happy to kick out the military.
The NFL is anti-USA, anti-military and anti-veteran.
USAA should denounce.
Thats right! We should boycott their advertisers.
