President Trump turned on the NFL commissioner this evening, after Roger Goodell spoke out about the president condemning players who kneel in protest during the national anthem and calling on team owners to fire those players.
In a tweet, Trump said Goodell is "trying to justify the total disrespect certain players show to our country."

Of course, there are still around 25 team owners not yet heard from. Some of them must be scrambling to try to thread a needle of not offending anyone, but they are going to have to take a stand.

Apparently he doesn't understand that the ticket paying fans in the stands and those watching on TV have the same right to leave and not come back.
Trump is telling Goodall he should be backing the fans and not a few disruptive rebel-rousers. He's telling him he should be supporting respect for the flag and national anthem of our country and not some showboating player protesters.
In the end, Goodall will rue the day he decided to push back at Trump and the NFL fan base and instead backed a few disgruntled players.

Goodell could have stopped this day one. He could have told the 49ers that kaperdick’s political statements and all political statement would not be allowed on the field.
